I like how my 5 year old switch pro controller is still working, long battery life and no stick drift. Then I buy a new PS5 controller and it gets stick drift after a month.

Its ridiculous...got my ps5 on launch day and now have 3 controllers drifting even with can and rubbing alcohol trick. I swear sony put out a 200 dollar edge controller where u can change out sticks for this reason...im gonna cave and buy one im so sick of buying new controllers and them all drifitng and i am meticulous about keeping my electronics clean, discs with no scratches. I been ik IT for 18 years now and these controllers and the joycons were def made with flaws!!
@@TheMwoskaJust buy hall effect sensors and send them to your repair man to change them no more stick drift or you can buy a hall effect controller but most of them aren't compatible with Playstation 5 and those that are 220 dollars.
This immediately fixed my left stick, no opening up the controller and everything. No need to worry about my main controller doing in the middle of a huge Returnal battle. Thank you!

DO NOT use your mouth to blow into your analog sticks! Your breath contains moisture which is bad for your electronics, but compressed air is designed to evaporate with no condensation. Compressed air is a lot cheaper than replacing your controller so I recommend investing in a can.

What kind of back buttons do you have?
Are those back paddles attachable or is that not a standard dual sense.
Do you hit the reset button while the system and controller are on or off?

I was debating whether to open it up too lol freaking things are expensive
They're easy to open up. Just follow a guide your first time because there's at least 5 ribbon cables inside, and 2 tiny ribbon cables that hold the tiny mic in place. Once you're familiar on the removal order, it's super simple.

My right analog stick is squeaking and i dont know why.
I followed the instructions from your other video to clean both sticks but after reassembling and turning it on, I tried a custom match on MW but the right stick is now stuck at point at the sky while turning left automatically. The left stick is normal. Any suggestions?

Idk how long my bf had this extra controller but the fact that there’s a constant left drift irritates me to no end, this made it a lot better but there’s still that jam in the left joystick and it’s pissing me off lol (sorry CZcams university but you couldn’t solve my problem today)

The rubbing alcohol made it way worse for my left analogue stick
I use isopropyl alcohol for electronics. It dries faster and way better for any electrical parts in stuff.
I used isopropyl and it made my left stick way worse. It went from annoying to completely unusable. I'm deciding whether I should send it back or open it up.

Yeah, blowing on electronics always works so well in the long term. It's actually a bad idea. You can't "not" spit when you breathe out.

How much do you use your PC controller compared to your playstation ones? If you gonna make a comparison that information is very important as wear over time causes stick drift…
@@Rawzix bruh mines never got dirty always clean habds to game. 3 months it has a drift 2nd controller w this problem.
It's not really a defect if it's intentional. These big companies know if they use inferior components inside, they'll wear out fast, causing consumers to replace them more often, meaning more money for the company. A good example that proves this, a small company like 8BitDo that makes controllers use far better components inside. My Sony controllers get drift after 4 months each one. My 8BitDo controller for my Nintendo Switch, had that 3 years and still no drift. There's intention behind it, not defect.

Dont do this the only way you can clean the analog is by opening the control an access de analog pots and clean it. This method only goint to clean the plastic stick an probably leaking alcohol to the board of the controller.
Useless because i don't have isopropyl alcohol neither compressed air
