    The fourth thing is, for the year 2021 and up, there is no excuse NOT to use LED lights all around. They do not come standard with the scooter. I added a Shad 33 to mine and yes, I had to buy the installation kit, runs about an extra $150 plus the box. Well worthy though, I can put my full-face helmet in it. I also added the side stand, $125. Note, I did all the work.

      Very true about the LEDs. And that's impressive 👍👍 I heard the side stand can be a little bit of a hassle to install

    I watched your video previously. Then I went and purchased the Liberty 150. I purchased 3 windscreens, a sport, a midsize, and the tall Givi. I purchased the rear mount then bought the Givi 37 liter box. The only thing that 'grinds my gears' is the gas tank. It is too small and it is difficult to fill without spilling some. Not impossible, but difficult. Just completed my 600 mile break-in service myself (first time adjusting valves). I have a GTS 300 HPE also, but she is getting lonely 🤣

    • @roadsterrevolution
      @roadsterrevolution  Před rokem +1

      Wow sounds amazing 🤩 yeah filling the gas tank is almost impossible to not overspill some. That 300 GTS must be a blast 🤙

    It usually comes bundled with the original top case as a “free” gift here in Europe. I have no problem with spills, maybe because we don’t have the vapor return system here, but the U shaped tank is definitely a bad design. Also it’s a pain to get the gas cap off, I usually need a rag and loosen it at home to not look like a fool at the pump.

    • @roadsterrevolution
      @roadsterrevolution  Před rokem

      Oh wow that's nice that you get the top case included! But yeah! The gas cap is super tight and takes a lot of effort to take it off and put it on. 😅 Sometimes I'll screw it on almost diagonally because it won't line up properly the first time.

    I have a LIberty 150 also and I really like it. I agreee that the underseat storage would be nicer if you could easily fit a full face helmet, although I usually just leave the helmet on the mirror. Some other stuff: Maybe it's just mine but the gas cap does not fit well, is hard to remove, and hard to fill without making a mess. My '67 Vespa had a very nice gas cap and is very easy to fill without making a mess. It would be nice if the gas tank was a bit bigger too. I wish the front glove box storage was a bit bigger and a bit more useful. On the rear, I removed the cover and drilled out the back rack, it was just plastic and mounted a tail box, worked out fine. If I sell it I can remove the tailbox and put the cover back on. All things being said, it's a very nice scooter, it's the first one I've owned with big wheels and I really like the handeling/stability.

    I never had a vehicle before, car nor motorcycle of any sort. I was given this same model, and I got my permit, going to use it for my license. I hit the streets and highways of NYC, it was so fun, and I am shooting for a full motorcycle license (caught two speeding tickets in bullshit schoolzones too yet there were no schoolzone signs anywhere and no cars near me at all in huge space,) but it's just not fast enough for certain places here, like the west side highway. There, it's 60MPH, and I'm the only one doing 60 lol, it's quite sad. Need to get a motorcycle at this point.
    As for the lights, definitely need to install new lights, I've noticed I was just using cars in front of me's lights the whole time, I hit so many huge potholes, that I honestly can't trust what's on it now at all, even with high beams.

    • @roadsterrevolution
      @roadsterrevolution  Před 4 měsíci

      I respect you're riding in the city with it, esp on the West side highway hahah. I used to live in NYC but didn't have the scooter then. I did do a lot of bicycle delivery tho which was fun. For sure the headlights could be much brighter, luckily that large 16 inch front tire can eat up some of the potholes. Get that motorcycle and stay safe out there brother 🤙

    Does the Liberty have a parking brake? If not, maybe to save on a parking brake and only use the center stand to keep from rolling. Also pretty sure you can add a side stand to them.

    • @roadsterrevolution
      @roadsterrevolution  Před rokem

      There is a side stand that you can purchase separately. As far as a parking brake, you can lock the handlebars all the way to the left position just like a motorcycle. But there is no actual parking brake aside from the center stand

      @jcgrv Před rokem +1

      Have you guys figured out a way to minimize the spill?
      It seems that if you stop after the 1st time it happens, you're not really filling it up. It takes a couple of more tries.
      There has to be a way. Trying to fill it up as slowly as possible doesn't seem to help either.

    I have myself a Liberty ABS but the 125 cc model and I love it !
    I had the side stand installed as an option for 58€ when I bought it (along with a small windshield and the factory top case and passenger pad) and while it can be useful at times, the center stand is more secure and practical most of the time, trust me ! Especially in case of high wind.
    And yes totally agree about the gas tank and the small storage space.

    • @TheExpendableGuy1

      @roadsterrevolution To be honest I wanted it mostly for the looks (I chose the fume version). Since I have never ridden without it I can't tell the difference but I highly doubt it given how small it is. There may be better options with 3rd party ones but weather conditions seem so nice in Florida you probably don't need it. Have fun and be safe on the road ! 🛵🤙

      This thing is borderline highway capable, and it doesnt mind running at full throttle so I find myself going at 100 kph surprisingly often.
      that said once you are on the highway you will want a windscreen, as i have had small rocks hit my chest and that was not fun.
      I went with a windcreen by Faco. it helps a lot in protecting your body. downside is now all the wind hits your helmet. it doesnt affect the ride but the wind noise takes getting used to.
      also the screen completes the looks of the bike. From head on it looks like a little touring bike.
