Found out my 3 x great grandparents came from Margate, they lived in the high street back in 1841, I'm guessing the area looked much better back then than it does now, it looks quite run down and neglected till you get to the harbour. I'm wondering what sort of accent people from Kent have, is it like a London accent?
@@EdsCafe Born and bred in Margate, The accent is nothing like London, not even south London, it changes before the Medway towns (god have mercy on them}
Nice for a day trip...no job opportunities and lack of housing....so many rough sleepers ...it is just the most depressing place Ive ever lived full of people with drug problems literally Definitely not the vibrant place it was before they turned all the hotels in bedsits and all the clubs went bust...very sad
