The Perfect Storm-A Film by Michael Meade

When the stats were predicting a special night for Aurora over Ireland, I didn't hesitate to make the journey to Kerry where there is an internationally recognised Dark Sky Reserve. What enfolded that night of 10th May into the early hours of 11th May was nothing short of amazing. The moon set, the clouds parted for a night that I will never forget. I used three cameras to capture as much of the special celestial event as I could, shooting from 11pm until 4:30am when morning light began to brighten the sky and aurora visibility faded to a memory.
