- Honda has been working openly on its Royal Enfield rival - the Highness CB350 - for a long time now, but that has also allowed RE enough time to develop an all-new 350 platform which debuts with the Meteor 350. It is bound to spawn a new Classic 350, but until that happens we have the original on this test, because, well, it kick-started this modern-retro genre. The Imperiale 400 proved that the Classic is ageing and there is room in the market for a nicer motorcycle from even an unassuming brand like Benelli - room that looked like Jawa would capitalise on, but the brand has failed to meet the demand of the consumer, eventually making people shy away to other options. In fact, it’s so scarce that we couldn’t get one for this test either, so we let it be. Watch the video to see how the four motorcycles stack up against each other!

Looks like CB350 is the way to go. Ride and handling, fuel economy, traction control, lighter weight and the exhaust note
I've bought the CB and am quiet happy with it. The only problem in my opinion is the frequent gear shifts at lower speeds
I will definitely look at the Honda now. I don't wanna go for a RE just for the sake of classic and crowd attraction. Honda looks more like a complete package to me. No offense to any RE bike.

The cruiser feel of the meteor is accentuated more on the supernova varient which has both the windscreen as well as the backrest and more chrome elements . Fireball gives quite a neo retro upright feel IMO unless off course you sit on it.

Even if there is one Honda Big wing in one city then also it will be wise to go for Honda purely for the quality and peace of mind. There are rare occasions when Honda vehicles develop a fault "out of the blue" if regular servicing/maintenance is done. With RE's nothing is guaranteed even with the best of care and timely service, one can ask any RE owner. One turns out half mechanic and constantly doing some kind of "Jugaad" to come out of an unpleasant situation on rides.

Major reason why I didn't go for the CB: Requires constant gearshifts and I wasn't sure about the aftersales experience. However, I absolutely love how the bike performs, looks, LED lights... and ofcourse the price!

Is there any particular reason why Jawa bikes were not included in this review ?? I mean the current Jawas also fall in the same segment. Correct me if I am wrong OD ??!!
Is there software issues within these bikes, I heard if the petrol line goes a particular level in honda 350rs then the bike stops and a technician needs to reset the software. Also confirm which bike is best for 6ft plus riders in terms of comfort.

RE classic is timeless design. It fits best in the 4 scenario described by u. The other one could be the Meteor 350 with it's matching classic looks.

Everybody complaining about the tall gearing of Honda, but actually it makes the bike more fuel efficient in the highway than any other 350s 😏!
Editor Note: @08:10 Add Imperial 400 throttling not CB350. Also make the timing correct. Video and Audio is not aligned properly. When he's revving the sound is mis matching.
I would love to buy that Honda cb350 but I don't think it's going to come to the UK, that just leaves me a choice between the Benelli or Royal Enfield.

This was the only unbiased review for the Hness. Every single journalist has put in the 'FEEL OF THE OLD CLASSIC' in the review and did not compare the bikes fairly. Everyone has put emotions ahead of a machine. No one does that for tatas, but you are different, you have reviewed the bike for what is offers and what is good or bad at.
