New Platform Icons In LaunchBox!

- Platform Icons are a new feature in LaunchBox 13.2, and was #3 on the 2022 Community Poll. We commissioned the creation of 250 icons to be used in LaunchBox just for you guys and it covers all supported platforms, categories, genres, and a number of arcade playlists. In the default theme, "it just works" and is free to use for all users. There's a toggle under the Views - Show/Hide menu for users that want to turn it on or off, and custom themes can use them too! There's already been some interesting use of them as seen in this video.

I think the icons are a really nice touch. I'm currently using them within the Neon Deluxe Arcade theme.

Love the addition. Anyone know how to add an icon to custom made favourites? For example I have Atari 800 (with icon), and then Atari 800 Favourites. It does not auto recognize the favourites, so it has no icon.
For some reason emumovies isn't getting the game videos when I import roms, it says I'm logged in , and goes through the motions but nothing gets added.any help would be awesome.

I'm trying to put the Sumatra PDF Reader as an emulator, in the Emulators folder, and the PDF magazines as ROMs in the Games folder, but LaunchBox does not identify the PDF extension to associate with the emulator when adding as a new platform...
Has anyone ever done something similar, to create a library of game magazines, displaying magazine covers in place of game boxes and opening the magazine in full screen for viewing and reading?

I've created 2 additional platforms and named them "Comics" and "Magazines". I use CDisplayEx as the primary emulator for these platforms as it can read cbz, cbr and pdf files. I also added SumatraPDF as an emulator but did not make it primary. When I read your comment, I checked if it works and changed one of the content's emulator as SumatraPDF and it works perfectly.
Hello again. What theme is this on 5.25 exactly? Its platrform wheel but i cannot find it in Darkroom. Can you please write here what theme is it? I like Darkroom but i want the platfroms to look like game wheel.
Hey I'm having a problem where my icons aren't showing up. Im on the latest version, I have show side bar icons ticked, and everything is in their correct folder. Not sure how to fix
If using a custom theme, make sure you are on the latest version of that theme. If the theme creator hasn't updated the theme to support icons, you may need to switch to another one that does.
Can someone please help, I've looked and asked everywhere. My imported epic games launch to the epic games launcher instead of the games. Steam and all other platforms work but Epic.

Sorry for this question that's mostly unrelated, but at the end of the video, you show very cool menus displaying games and consoles in neat ways. How do I do that? I have been scouring the website and internet and I can't find anything that shows how to do that in Launchbox. Please help
If you mean the ending, those are various different Big Box themes. Big Box is our TV/console like experience. You can find out more about it here: www.launchbox-app.com/premium
Is there a way to delete, for example, MAME Games directly from Launchbox instead of just deleting the titles, especially since MAME is very large and we do not need all the games? Is there a solution to this?
Check Options, under General, for an option called "Allow deleting ROMs when deleting games". Just be cautious, once the game is gone, the game is gone.
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC Already did, but the games still on folder, only on Launchbox is deleted, and the MAME folder still has 70GB. Are you sure that this setting work on MAME?
I wish people could donate media through launchbox.
It has game covers export pack. So you can make your own game covers collection and export and share it. I haven't used it though

Yes, he does all the official Launchbox YT updates.
A Music Tutorial would be useful. That feature is a mess and there seems to be no support for it. No one knows how it works.
