@@AbisDen ...Well, I am signing up for an in-person sewing class later this month so I can expand on my sewing knowledge. The long term goal is for me to make clothes and household things with ease.
I would consider myself as a "beginner" sewer as I can only make the most basic of things ie face masks, shopping bag etc, so I don't mind what you decide to make in the video. I would def appreciate if you could show how to use all the 12 stitch patterns this overlocker has though, as I have looked in the manual and I am completely stumped with regards to how to change the stitch pattern when looking at the diagram..lol

Hi Abi I got this overlocker a few months back and it has been great. I also have also have a Brother 1034D which is an absolute nightmare to rethread, I have spent 2-3 hours trying and trying coming nearly to tears, I find the green thread so hard to do. So I only use it for anything light that I can use white thread on. The Necchi I use for the darker items. Anyway something went wrong with the necchi and I had to rethread it. I followed your instructions and it was so easy. I was really not looking forward to the day I had to do this, but now I won't be scared to do it again. I can't say that about the brother lol. While I am here how do you make the overlock stitch smaller as I use it only on the factory settings as I find it so hard to try and work it out.

For any warranty repairs it has to be sent off to Germany. Did it once already a year ago. And they don't even say what they did to the machine 🙄 but it's such lovely machine

Two methods of doing this First one is to put a little oil into an egg cup then squeeze the little oil bottle to suck up the oil-like using a turkey baster. The second method is to use a syringe but unless it has a needle (I use blunt end ones as I refill ink cartridges) and syringe it into the bottle. I think the first method is easiest for you.

If you’re after a branded product. Try Vilene. But I usually just buy something off a market stall for £1/m. Iron on hot (3 dots) and keep pressing for 8-10 seconds for the glue to melt. They should work. If the glue goes yellow , it’s too hot or a substandard quality- or if it bubbles or shrinks.

Thank you so much. So clear. I've been dreading trying. Had the overlocker 4 months and just got round to it! A couple of questions please. I was following the book at the same time and notice you left out one of the yellow looper things, the one in the middle. Does that matter? It does have a yellow arrow by it.
Also I notice you pull the yellow thread between the knife and foot and pull to the back, but in the book they pull it over the upper looper first and then behind the fingers, and this ends up with the yellow thread going over the upper looper to the back of the stitch plate and not through the knife/ plate and then to the back. Does this make a difference? Thank you.
    Happy New Year
