Oh yeah, you hear the difference immediately. Both are good but I prefer PA5X. Why because you can achieve from the touch of the keyboard the same as Yamaha or more mellow. Perhaps the master volume should be slightly louder on the PA5X which can make a big difference. I just turned the volume up on my computer and I really like the Sound of the PA5X it is more mellow and less sharp. you can pick what you like on the menu for sharp piano sounds but I think they both have pros and cons. I suggest you should turn your volume level the same on both keyboards and try your comparison to see if you prefer the PA5X. I know I do. Also, I get it they are both workstations and I feel on the Genos I had way more work to do just to get it to play out of the box. Not the case with the PA5X. Thank you CHRIS FOR AN AMAZING DEMONSTRATION. I CAN TELL YOU ARE FILLED WITH LOVE EVERY TIME YOU PLAY. I FEEL IT SO MUCH. I felt when you added big orchestra on the Genos it lost volume on the treble side. That would need adjusting for more balance. I just think with volume applied to your PA5X it is better than GENOS.! On DANCE WITH THE GENOS CHRIS, I find again the left-hand over powers the right-hand melody. Yes, I was right more balance with the PA5X. It is good you compare like this as for me I didn't like the GENOS it took me one week to find that out and I have been a Yamaha person all of my years and now Korg wins it for me. Lets face it in some keyboards you can't tweak them and others you can the more expensive ones Like these two.

Both are great instruments. The Korg has a very up-to-date backing accomplishment. Where I feel the Genos is a little dated.
I don't like the little buttons on the Korg they are small and very compact you could easily miss one when playing.
The Genos has much larger buttons well lit and easy to see and find. Which one will I end up choosing I don't know at present.
What I really want is the best of both worlds in one keyboard. A GenoKord now that, would be a great instrument.

I admit the Styles on the Korg are good, but the Genos can match them if you re-arrange them and also the German site Doo'de Styles. I personally love 60's and 70'sand 80s sounds. I found through listening a lot to both keyboards that the Genos is sharper in detail and sounds than the Korg.
The Korg sounds more muffled or rounded in sounds. It all depends how you perceive it.
With the Genos you can manipulate to get those warmer sounds if you like it like that type of Korg sound.
The saxes are particularly more advanced than the Korg ones . To get the best of Genos saxes you have to learn the nuances like articulations. This takes quite a bit of practice though, the same with guitars.
Practice is the key for a good sax play especially Friday night lol.
Oh well, Fillet steak and wine tonight the same as the Genos.

Put the Genos with VST and sky is the limit.
im pretty sure korg has am EQ and a saturator on board also so it goes both ways. genos is saturated and EQ is on the upper end. making it shiny like the disco ball they put on the montage which is only usefull for folks who need risers and such. lol Yamaha keyboard touches are better though.
These are both great keyboards. I prefer the Korg because I like the drums better and I prefer the Korg fingering modes. But if you have Genos you have a great keyboard-stick with it.
KORG sounds more Naturally (for me). But, YAMAHA sounds... more Nicely 😌😌
is it possible to track out/stem drum loops out of these as wav and use them in a daw? But each sound in its own wav file, not as 1 full wav file as a full drum loop? For example i want to get oriental arabic sets, and track out 4-8 bar loops of the drum loops and use them in other projects in my daw. People have told me you cant export them like that, youd have to record each sound seperately. Is this true?>
You can also compare the demos how Michel Deuchst Korg Pa5x and Peter Bartmans yamaha genos playing ..hear the differentses, they played professionally 👍 good
over all KORG has edge over Yamaha but still GENOS wins some categories of sounds and styles in my opinion

It was unclear to me which keyboard is which. I assumed the one on the left is the Yamaha, which had a more mellow sound for the piano patch. Being a Yamaha fan I must say I think the Korg had the edge with its crisper sound.

@@ePianoscouk OK then to me the Yamaha on the right had the edge with it's crisper less muffled sound. I think in future videos you should be made clearer on which keyboard you are playing, especially when there is no sight of the manufacturers label.
@@patriciayoung6141 Thank you for pointing that out as I hadn't noticed it being located below the touch screen, having just checked. However, on a small laptop screen it's not that clear. I still think it could be made clearer as on other videos I have watched, especially if you don't know what the keyboards look like. A simple intro at the beginning would suffice.

Hard to say which keyboard's sound is better or worse, IMHO.
Genos 2 vs pa 5x
The brass are realy good on the Genos,better than the Korg, 5 years old but the acc piano/rhodes/bass/ are better on Korg, seamless sound transition is a must have too, USB sound card possibility too, and for this 2 keyboards, i really don’t understand why they don’t have, the Yamaha modx or yc have, so, big missing…
So,the better quality/price is the Yamaha sx900 for the moment in second hand, 1300€ versus 4000€ for the new Korg and 2800€ for a Genos second hand.
Having heard this demo, think we are happy to stay with Genos. Perhaps different styles of music would showcase better.
KORG has a better or pattern intro if you started with a major or minor chords, the GENOS hasn't, awful is it. Besides, KORG has smoothly 👌 changing sound , try GENOS jump quickly to another sound, it's clumsy 😳 cannot the modification sound used in the accompaniment styles
The Genos wins by a mile .
Someone pointed out about amplification of both keyboards.
Were they both flat or enhanced.
Things can sound a lot better for either keyboard with the right set up

😂😂😂 Genos = plastic sound. Korg = natural, selective and dynamic sound.
Some users report PA5x has lots of missing features and bugs. Yeah, Korg has the best sounding arranger keyboard and deep editing capabilities. But, for now, I think Genos wins for OS stability.
i was on the verge of buying the Pa5x 88keys today...it was in stock and i was at the shop......but these utube reviews regarding the Korg freezing and all those bugs really held me back..... are my fears really justified?....please help......... i cant get to sleep ......
@@HonorV2ultimate1tb Sadly, it's too expensive. One feature that is missing from the PA4X is KAOSS. If you want an 88-key arranger, you can buy a used Korg Havian 30, which is the same as the PA5X 88-keys with a more affordable price and the same sound as the PA300. The bad thing is no Insert effects, which is not a bad thing if you just have playing style and sound built-in without tweaking anything.

@@HonorV2ultimate1tb Man, I was broke and I couldn't afford the newest digital piano. But, I just stick with my old digital piano, even though my pedals are not working anymore.

Yamaha Editing is far away to Korg in all!!!!!
For Transport 😂 Yamaha Genos Plastic = extreme wear and tear

Keys are better on Yamaha
Yamaha Flash Memory Sample is a plus when you power on it takes always about 7-8 seconds to start
Korg sample RAM 8gb

Le Korg est supérieur,cela s'entend dans les démonstrations sur les différentes chaînes, il y a 5 ans d'écart entre ces 2 claviers, mais cela reste comme toujours une question de goût pour les utilisateurs.Une très bonne continuation musicale.

Just to reassure you, you don't see any flashing like this in reality on the Korg Pa5X. I think it's just due to the camera's frame rate. You'll notice the same effect in many CZcams videos featuring the Pa5X.

I think, just play professionally, then you get a professionally keyboard, but that's my very modest opinion 🤔 😉 😜
Honestly, in pretty much all of the many "compare" clips I've heard on here it's always the same conclusion:
For any one sound I liked better on one instrument, there was another I liked better on the other instrument!

The problem with different brands is that when your ears are used to a decade of Yamaha, they will prefer Yamaha, no matter what

I will not speak about Yamaha but I used to have a Korg i3, PA80, PA800 and I literally hear these instruments only in a tweaked sound. I do not know about Yamaha, but Korg, apart from the display, housing and sound module, has not changed anything for several years. Apparently, the company has no more ideas and the styles have been repeating the same for years. Pathetic
Genos is five years old but its still a winner by a mile how will Yamaha top the Genos, Genos 2 will be something special

Yamaha always is better , went genos 2 release is game over , yamaha is the best promoting there product , no one can compete with yamaha . The only people that have the korg is form arabia , and korg don like to promote there product sad.
