Very laid back 4th. I love that it was mid-week. We started our celebration last weekend with cookout and fireworks at a friend's house. On the actual 4th we swam at our house and had a very simple burger/hotdog cookout with just immediate family and watched our town's fireworks display. Then yesterday, the 5th, we enjoyed the country life at some friends' land, driving four wheelers, picking wild blackberries, fishing in a pond, hotdogs and smores by campfire, and shooting off fireworks. Blessed.
I wish I could wear shorts like but not at nearly 59 years old. I used to have a manager and she always complained about our young volunteers wearing short skirts. I told her off saying that you are jealous of them. I would wear mini long skirts 21 inches in length with black tights, to back up the younger girls at 14/16 years old. Anyone complaining is jealous.
Okay first off don’t apologize for your shorts, as far as the 4th we’re not big 4th of July people. I don’t like fire works so we never go and do that sometimes get together with family for a cook out but we just stayed home today. It’s crazy hot here too.

My husband is a veteran, and he served on our local water 💧 agency as president. And then he was elected to the city council and he's the current Mayor, and he also got elected to the central committee, but his term doesn't start until January. I mention this because it's important to volunteer for the country 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙you call home! I so appreciate all of our Brave Men and Women serving ❤️ our country!
If you can volunteer at a library or school to help children 📚 📚 📚 read, it is a great 👍🏻 way to start! Many young people today don't read. Reading makes a difference in the lives of many!❗️🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🇺🇸❤️💙🤍🇺🇸

Love, love, love all the decor. The front of the house is so welcoming and festive. All the flag runners and the little flags on the walkway. I had to laugh because I could hear the chickens cackling in the background. You did such a great job on the inside too. Loved the Greek statue with the bow and all the colorful stars and wooden beads and ornaments. All the eating spaces were just perfect and I’m sure your family loved it all. We are staying home because we have a huge doggie ( half St Bernard/half Bernese), who didn’t used to mind fireworks but now people are setting off huge giant explosions and he hates it. We live near an Indian reservation that sells illegal fireworks. Horrible loud and scary.

Happy Fourth of July! Hope you had a wonderful day! I love decorating patriotic and keep it out on our front porch area 24/7/365. My husband is a retired disabled veteran. We spent the afternoon supporting the troops and watching a dear friend entertain the crowd while eating hot dogs! A great day!

Your traditions are so nice😊 In Finland the indepence day decoration is like two blue and white candles by the window😄 In my family we usually have gingerbread baking day in the 6th of December. Kids can invite their friends to bake. I usually do dough for 1000 gingerbeads and all of it is used. Eating takes a big part of it😄

Beautiful as always. I didn't have my flags out this years, but as always a proud veteran of our USA. Definitely had my flag/freedom shirt. We did independent small fireworks for my toddlers, drive in, and water slide at home. Trying to stay safe on the South East coast. My husband actually cooked a yradition Spaniards dish. Quite funny! Hope you had a great one.
Everything looks great Lauren. I made a wreath for my front door using three different 4th of July themed ribbon (2 inches wide) and single loops atracned to a wide wreath form. Also planted red geraniums in planters wjth greenery. ANd placed flags around my front garden. I made pulled pork baked beans, blueberry pie and brownies. other family brought sides and drinks.c it was tooo hot and humid to be outside here in NJ. Since fall stuff is kut atHo by Lobby I'm stopping there to get a few thngs with my sister.

❤❤Ahh the Birth of America..July 4, 1776 🇺🇸Happy 4th Lauren and family! I like your decorating..so simple yet so Beautiful 😍. I lay low at home with my Kitty, Brownie..we are not fans of Fireworks..since in Our neighborhood..it is mostly M80 bombs😢 they started last week and continue all night long..sigh.. My father also has PTSD from being in the Korean War..not his fave. We always went to the controlled Firewords shows that have Professionals doing them with The Fire Department there to. Since my father has PTSD..we do not do fireworks at home..plus we have Pets and Wildlife around that get Terrified. Enjoy your Holiday with friends and family..I hope you get t o eat some great Barbecue food to.🇺🇲
