PIOs Eric, Connor and Kim take you on back to back wildland fires in SMFR's district and a hazmat situation for a suspicious device that closed down traffic on E-470 and streets nearby.
Thanks for sharing this great video and the info about hollow trees and fire 😎 I am very happy to hear that Unscripted is going to have new videos 😃😃 thanks Eric, Connor and Kim for all the info you share 👏👏
Love these videos! When PulsePoint sounded I almost went for my notifications. It's madness how quickly the weather changes in this modern day. From blizzard to brush fire.
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO Haha gets me everytime I hear PulsePoint in a video. It really is changeable. In this video alone you see a brush fire and snow on the ground for that HazMat.
Yay, Unscripted is coming back! That’s the entire reason I originally subscribed! I was disappointed when you guys stopped making new episodes. Keep up the great work!
in 1979 my department responded to a fire in NE Ohio just east of Akron when lightning struck a chain link fence surrounding a used tire dump covering several acres. The grass was ignited all around the fence which spread to the tires....took two days to put it out...we set up monitors and just kept pumping the water on it
Great video This is like what is happening in my country Australia currently a evac fire is in the mountains and has burnt around 1.5k hectares and 12k acres and is super close to houses but lucky that you donated us the new fire helicopter recently because we needed that Side note, The new heli is above my house right now!
I'm new to your videos. I live in Littleton and i like seeing what you are doing. May i suggest you introduce yourselves at the beginning of each video so we know who we're watching. Makes it a little more intimate. Thank you.
Great job you three, always teaching the public ! A gentle suggestion, Would look better if you kept your hair tied up when on scene in your gear and certainly if you give interviews. Not a big deal, just appears better on the camera.
hey Eric and Connor , and kim , does your dept do per scribe burns in high wildland burn areas? to cut down on the wildland fires you dept responses to and have you guys ever used a drone yourselfs to film your very cool vidoes ? :0)
Interesting that when Littleton and south metro merged they didn’t form a fire protection district, especially because of how many VFDs were in the coverage area before the merge.
During recent mergers an authority model was used until the community voted in favor of becoming part of South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Protection District. Today the entire coverage area is under a protection district model overseen by an elected board of directors.
Weird for sure! With all the problems with Wildfires you would think people would be very careful while out enjoying nature. Obviously though a lot of people take nature for granted and then we have extensive loss of our wonderful forests. Just like the Waldo Canyon Fire was such a disaster and two people ended up losing their lives. Unfortunately, the person s) responsible were never identified. I observed that fire from the East side of the Springs late that morning as just a wisp of smoke. It was a real tragedy when Flying W Ranch went up. Those electrical wires sparking in the water was unusual.
Be safe out there guys you are awesome the San Antonio fire department is also getting brush fires to and it at these 2 to 3 units on scene and someday I want to become a firefighter put the San Antonio Fire Department SAFD. 🚒
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO I sent one from a NC police department about a week ago? I was wondering if ya'll got it or if you were mailing one back? If you could give me an email I could ask through that.

I found these guys channel on accident and now I can't get enough. Too bad they are way over in Colorado and my station is in Michigan.
Strong work educating the public and letting them see how their firefighters get it done for them!
Love these videos guys and ladies! I will send you a Sandoval County (NM) Fire Dept patch for your collections!!!!
Wish my city department did these. South metro is an awesome department. You guys make a great video team also!
