I’m retired from the business of being a firefighter, but when I first started in the later 70’s, those type calls weren’t things we responded to. It was handled by someone else, not us. And that was very hard to tell callers. But, as time passed, many thought it was foolish not to help, so as I know it now, it’s considered an emergency call, of course depending on the situation. Cat in the tree vs cat through the ice are handled totally different, the latter being an emergency call, the cat in tree not a response. Way to many attacked while pulling the cats from the trees. And it was always asked, “how many cat skeletons have you ever seen in the trees? None. People sometimes would get offended, but, it’s the truth. All in all, I’m very glad the service has changed. Many pets are better then others!!!

I was a firefighter paramedic, before going to school for my DNP. Inside a fire, there is sometimes you can not see anything. Even with a light, you are unable to see your hand. Love your videos!! Keep up your good work.
Do your policies allow guys to wear helmet cams and if so you should get one for the guy riding right front just to show what all goes into fighting a fire. From the size ups to making the stretch and putting the wet stuff on the red stuff!
