The transmission fluid filter on this car can be replaced from the engine bay , just take out the filter housing and you will find it down there . In general leaks can be the main issue with these so inspect for any oil leaks around the cooling assembly . The same procedure it will be on Mercedes cla class , a class , gla or any other Mercedes models with the same engine .

Engine Oil Change : czcams.com/video/XgfYgvpkMk4/video.html
Hello , can I change transmission fluid but not transmission cooler filter?
🥰love the BILTEMA pliers nice video btw, easy to follow
Thanks for this guide. Do you also have one on how to service/change the transmission oil as you mention in the video?
what is that yellow plug, is it fluid fill port.
How long time replace this filter?
Once you change the fluid . Mercedes say its for a lifetime but at least every 150 000 km the fluid should be changed..
Nice video Thank You.
Just to let everybody know the 7 gear DCT auto transmission takes close to 5 litres of oil.
When measured at a hot 80C with engine running at idle the transmission oil will be at notch Number 5 on a transmission dipstick.
The transmission dipstick must be purchased separately. Mercedes have them or eBay.
cheers
Hey, is it necessary to use Xentry to do leveling? I don't know what makes it different by using Xentry or just idling.
In the service manual, the level is dependent on the models, A180 needs 4.8L, 3.5@70C, A250 5.3L 5@70C
@@dskim9242 .hello. Xentry will only tell you temp on our DCT gearbox. not level. idling is ok and works well.
cheap DCT dipstick is great as well for checking level now and for any ongoing checks.
Xentry necessary only on the Merc 9 speed normal transmission for rear wheel / 4 wheel drives etc.
@mercamg9312 thanks!
Do you have a garage where I can bring my car?
Where do you live ?

My A Class w176 says Transmission Malfunction. What could be the problem?
