Making a Mechanic Mad

  • The plaintiff says the defendant is a friend of a friend. He claims she stiffed him on some repair work and abandoned him by the side of the road when he delivered the vehicle to her home. He’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendant insists the plaintiff not only didn’t fix the car but also made it worse. She had to hire another mechanic to correct the issue.

I hydroplaned on the way to work and bounced off the barrier on the highway. I sent my vehicle to our local mechanic. I bought a cheap vehicle quickly for work so was in no rush to get my vehicle back. Craig had my vehicle for a couple of months. When he called me to come pick it up he started off by apologizing for keeping it so long. He ended up only charging me for the parts. He has in me a loyal customer for life. I tell everyone I know to send their vehicles to him.

You have to remember that he’s an ex-mechanic. He only used his friend’s shop to get the parts he needed but he never used the shop to fix the car. I’m sure he had to work out of his garage to make the repairs and in many cases garages do get cold. At his age I find it miraculous that he was able to get any work done by himself doing repairs in cold weather. Hopefully he’ll accept more side work during warmer seasons.
