- Welcome To Bangor Maine! Home to Stephen King (writer of books like IT and The Shining), Bangor is in Penobscot County, has a population of around 33,039, which makes it the Maine's 3rd-largest city, behind Portland and Lewiston. You can fly in and out at the Bangor International Airport (BGR).
There is plenty of things to do in Bangor! You could catch a concert at the Cross Insurance Center, Canoe in the Kenduskeag River, Hike the various trails like the Bog Walk, see the Paul Bunyan Statue that inspired a scene in IT Chapter 2, or see many of the local pubs in the Downtown area like Paddy Murphies or the Orono Brewing Company!

Thanks for showing Stephen King's house. I saw it in person several times. I lived in Bangor for 11 years.
Aaah nice! Anything you think I should add to another video?
@@WelcomeToTravelChannel The only things I can think of are the Thomas Hill Standpipe, the Bangor Theological Seminary, Capehart and the park and bridge at the Kenduskeg Stream.
I lived in Bangor in the 60s. My dad was stationed at the Air Force base when they closed it. Pretty city.
I bet it's changed a bit since then! Thanks for watching!
Oh hey I live in Maine :]
Nice! Any recommendations as to somewhere you think would be good for a video? I'm thinking Portland, Acadia, and Bar Harbor will be soon!
Nice video
Thanks! It was my first so now that I watch it I see a lot that I'd do differently lol. Next one is going up tonight for Arches National Park and Monument Valley. Thanks for watching and being my 1st comment! :D
Hi, can you also feature Portland? Thanks!
Sure thing! I'll make a trip out that way this coming weekend and try to have it up for you next week!
Hi there! I recorded Portland yesterday. It was a bit gloomy weather-wise, but I got quite a bit of the city! I'll try to get it edited and posted tonight!
I’ve heard about Bangor from Stephen’s King stories, very great place for life, but where are all people, I mean there are not too much people there ...
Good Morning! It is a nice medium sized city with a small town kind of feel. It gets a little busier in the tourist time of year (summer and fall), but is generally pretty quiet. Thanks for watching! :D
Husband and I want to move to ME!
It is super pretty! I've been here for about 7 years and I'm always finding stuff to do!
Thanks for watching! :)
