Aloha Everyone! Lesson 25 is “Nilikupenda Sana,” a Tanzanian favorite from the 70’s. This is just a beautiful song to play, especially with how the melody syncopates against the steady relaxed groove, which is an African Rumba (like Guantanamera). I recommend looking up the song (search “Zilipendwa” for the pop version from Kenya, or Western Jazz Band for the original) and the beautiful lyrics (in Swahili with available translations).
