9:25 MANTIS written on ground, og wow explorer here from noggaholic typically developers of the map would write their name out of bounds so if it needed to be edited blizzard knew who to contact to fix the map or glitches. SMH Asmond didnt even mention things like this, good video though!

He does notice it and mention it at 1:45, but he doesn't say anything about why it's written there so that's nice to get an explanation as to why it's there

Seeing Asmongold die to fall damage after jumping off of Serpent’s Spine made me die inside a little knowing he has Heroic Leap and mains a warrior lol.
Next we see a video from Vaulty that says "Asmongold COPIED my IDEAS from my OWN BRAIN???"
Mantis would be a reference to the Klaxxi, probably where a Rare Spawn, World Boss or Faction NPC is meant to go.
Love how that aquaman guy was scolding him at the end there.
Bringing your transmog comps to the black void would really spice things up (if you even can)

You can also break out of a few areas in SoO, Exploring a bunch of empty pandaria and a bunch of empty area around the ending in Stormwind. Nothing new or special that I found but was kinda interesting. Managed to break out with the teleport essence on my mage.
4:48 the crescendo in music as he walked towards the door made it even more epic
You can do a similar thing inside of stormstout brewery if you are an assassin or sub rogue and you shadowstep to the floating ale things on the left side above the destillery's you drop down into an un semi textured valley of the four winds. it has a huge area to explore if you want to check it out.

For future reference if anyone is new to exploration, this problem can be solved every eight hours by manually “unstucking” your character via Blizzard’s Support Page. Otherwise you can accept summons so long as you’re not in the infinite free fall animation seen initially. Demon Hunter’s Metamorphosis is a viable leap to get out of this as well, but it appears his Heroic Leap wasn’t working here for some reason. Hope this helps someone :)
Yeah, every landscape you see in an instance is actually a reproduction of a small portion of the real zone. And usually all procedural effects are disabled (water and so on)
it makes sense because otherwise the game files would be getting way to large.
Now for the real question: did he find this off stream and showed on stream or actually find it on stream?

Well TBH if there are no such areas, whenever you do a dungeon that's set in outdoors, you would see blackness.
sometimes in maps you put stuff somewhere of copies if the orginal glitches -the glitch carries over to the copy and the orginal is now ok or vs . Ant this is how mappers work -the make their stuff elsewhere in the map in a room/world and if the content works flawlessly the stuff are keept -for future patches or if removed glitches might occur
Lol. Those 3D meshes and textures are used in other areas of the game. So no, except from a bit of extra scene definition files that are pretty lightweight, you don't have a lot of extra space consumed on your drive from those ;).
you can easily do this in highmaul as well and find out only about half of the zone is ''loaded in'' in this instance

On a side note, if you want to explore things you can't get to, might I suggest a neat hunter macro for Eagle Eye? /cast !eagle eye will allow you to cast Eagle Eye WHILE you're casting Eagle Eye without interrupting the current cast. You can send it off just about anywhere you can place the target on. I've used it to get around doors, into buildings (since you can only use it outside), and I've discovered that Teldressil's textures are still where the tree used to be, but blizz flattened the entire zone underwater and placed a giant "sticker" over top of it that looks like the burned tree.
This happened to my friend at the beginning of WoD in the mining shaft of his garrison. He had to wait like a day for a GM to fix it because he kept falling through the floor and getting DC'ed
heroic leap does work there, he just has to angle his camera the other way so that the green circle appears on the ground, happened to me and the camera angle is pretty wonky sometimes

One time i got a summon to the mouth of wailing cavern and somehow clipped as i came in and fell through the underverse.
Guess what shits grayish and the mobs are also on the underside and seem to be just waiting their to spawn.
In classic if you look at the mouth of the cavern theirs a small dip where the polygon meet together thats the spot

Asmon getting stuck like that happened to me in the exact same way, except I got out of the map on Strat Live when Balnazzar feared me into the wall and I fell through the map.
I was in a vast, textureless wasteland with a red sky, and a random Strat Undead Necromancer NPC standing in the open. She was hostile, but didn't attack as I got closer. I couldn't use any abilities on her.
I ran to the end of the world, jumped off, and got stuck like Asmon
This was one reason I kept playing WoW back up until flying mounts and the terrain was changed, wall walking and exploring zones not meant to be explored, sadly it's not like the past... Some zones have glitched areas like this but that's about it... :(

If you ever get stuck like this, you actually don't even need to contact a GM, get summoned, etc. Wait 15 minutes out of game and your character will be returned to the start of the dungeon / the GY.

Does the instance reset trick not work in retail? Invite someone, pass him leader then log off and let him reset instance while u're offline.

Gate of the setting sun has some amazing stuff to see. Almost every instance in the game has awesome stuff to see out of bounds :) the place on they other side is called azure island! I have a video of the place on my channel
