A great movie? Agree but historically completely inaccurate for ex William Wallace was not a farmer but a nobleman and the battle at Stirling is also shown wrongly. In the movie it is on a field while in real it was at a bridge, in fact it is the battle at Stirling bridge

He landed in Nansemond County, Virginia and was indentured for 7 years. After the 7 years he was given 10 acres of land and 10 English pounds. He married, raised a family and since that time our family has fought in every war this country has had from the American Revolution to Dessert Storm. My contribution was 26 month of combat in Vietnam.

He was walking around London and saw blue placks around London that tell you about history of the uk ( they are all over the UK) He saw the one on London Bridge about William Wallace and was so shocked about it he looked into his story. He had a screenplay brought together. He starred, directed and produced the movie. All these years later u can still all over the uk hear people shout FREEEEEDOMMM at the top of their voices especially when drunk.

Everyone looks at Edward I as a petty despot and tyrant, but he had an upbringing in a hard school. Wars, infighting, revolts, watching his father be deposed by a rebellion, imprisonment, a 100 year history of wars, violence, family revolts and backstabbing, he was a hard man leading a hard and turbulent kingdom. But he was also a sound administrator, reformer and strategist. His reactions to opposition were harsh but the balance of power and peace in the kingdom had always been earned at the point of a sword and his greatest crime was being too good at his job. I'm not saying he wasn't any of the things people think of him, but he was a product of his times and his culture, and was no better or worse than any of the other rulers in his situation.

Despite how he's portrayed in the film because he's the main bad we are supposed to hate him.
But King Edward "Longshanks" the 1st was one of Britain's greatest monarchs he was a warrior King was known for his fierce and unpredictable temper and was quite intimidating one time and I'm not joking King Edward actually caused a priest to die out of fear who fell over and died....yeah he literally scared a man to death.
But he did had a softer side only his Wives/Queen consorts Eleanor of Castle and Margaret of France brought out that side of him, one things for sure was that King Edwards loved his Wives.
After the death of Queen Eleanor, King Edwards became the intimidating conquering warrior King he was always known for but after he married Margaret of France who despite being much younger than him and their marriage was to form a truce between France, Margaret came to love her new husband and King, just after they got married he went to continue his campaign in Scotland in the north while Queen Margaret now pregnant stayed in London but after a few months she got bored and lonely so she decided to go to Scotland to be with her husband.
The action surprised and pleased him so much it reminded him of Eleanor.
Margaret also saved many subjects from the King's wrath calming him down like his Eleanor once did.

Man, you would be a fantastic D&D player. I love your investment and enthusiasm in the story.
D&D would also help you know the difference between nunchaku (a Japanese weapon) and a flail (which is what Wallace was using in that scene) XD

IIRC, the effects of the horses during the battle looked so realistic at the time that groups like peta and others tried to sue the creators of the movie for injuring horses.

I always tell ppl. We all sit in theaters and see the hero fight for freedom and justice. And sometimes they die. We all identify with the hero. We always sit in our seat saying. We would never follow evil. we will always do the right thing. YET the pass two years. Where did most ppl do? were they the hero? or where they the villain? it's a very hard thing to hear and accept, but many of us have not walked the path of justice or the hero. I can say i didn't fold and will never fold

Awesome reaction. Your channel only came up on my feed today. You won me over when that part where William Wallace's uncle said, "You didn't want your father to die, either, did ya? But it happened." And you said, "Yo, take it easy, man." That was hilarious. I laughed for sure.
Anyway, I wanted to add a couple of movie suggestions. I want to say one thing first. Not one movie reaction channel has ever reacted to a music biopic. I mean, come on. There are so many to choose from. You got The Doors (my favorite), Sid and Nancy, Elvis, La Bamba and Bohemion Rhapsody which is about Queen. Hell, there's even one coming out about Whitney Houston. Please, I hope you pick any one of these. They are all great and I am definitely gonna watch I Wanna Dance With Somebody about Whitney Houston when it comes out. I wasn't exactly a fan of her music but she had a voice. I absolutely respected her talent and everything she did for music.
Well, I'll be checking out your other reactions. Keep up the great channel. And one last time, please watch a music biopic. They are great as well and have influenced society as much as any other movie you have reacted to.

Same in Polish history. Nobles sold out every bit of honor and good faith for titles and lands. It was the common people who suffered most and cared the most for nationality and integrity. God bless good man who made our countries independent and free.
