FILM DESCRIPTION:
With the millennium approaching, a series of disturbing signs suggests that Satan (Arnold Schwarzenegger) has returned to Earth and is walking the streets of New York City. It seems that Satan needs to find a woman who will bear his child, as the time for the arrival of the anti-Christ draws near.

Thunbs up to Bobby for sacrificing himself for his friend and partner. That couldn't have been easy for him. At least he redeemed himself in the end.
Since there’s a Devil in the movie, there’s also gotta be a God. So, I hope for his sacrifice, Bobby went to heaven.
Bobby had remorse there last few seconds before the devil lit him up for betraying his friend/job partner, helping Satan ubduct the girl.

@@ElectricLarry__ I don't think he went downstairs after his death because Jericho was his friend and even though the Devil manipulated Bobby into betraying his friend he redeemed himself in the end by rejecting the Devil's offer and accepting his original fate. Whether Bobby believed in God or not is irrelevant because he still rejected the Devil and sacrificed himself to save his friend, Christine and ultimately the world. I'm sure his sacrifice wasn't lost on Heaven's gatekeeper.

Bobby already chose Satan's redemption when he was on fire so he fck'd up then.
Unless, he asked God for forgiveness while in the process of dying, then maybe but highly unlikely based on what was shown in this scene.
Let's also not kid ourselves to the fact this was a Hollywood movie and those SOB:s in charge are a bunch of Satanists themselves

0:57 brilliant foreshadowing by director Peter Hyams as Bobby walks out of the firey background into safety and air only to sacrifice himself to help his friend by breathing his last sigh of relief only to be set on fire, awesome.

I felt really bad for Bobby when he got set on fire. Why didn't anybody save him?? This freaks me out a LOT because I saw his whole body being lit on fire and heard him screaming
I know. This scene hurt me too, but looking at the situation... Jericho has a crowd of enemies behind him and the lord of Hell in front of him, and Christine’s safety took top priority. Even if he had time to smother the flames (or find an unlikely fire extinguisher), Bobby would either die from the injuries soon after or be disfigured; in pain the rest of his life. And Jericho couldn’t very well carry a full grown injured man with Satan hot on his heels... The only other thing Jericho could have done is shoot Bobby to end his misery fast.

It's a little weird to see Arnold Schwarzenegger as a bad guy in any other movie that's not the Terminator. Like I couldn't even take him seriously in the comedy movies Brothers and Junior.
