It's like complaining that your car is designed so you can't change the wheels because the pickup truck tires you bought won't fit on it.

That's what happens when you drink all the time, eat omce a day, and don't exercise. It happened to me when I was an alcoholic. After I quit drinking, I started "filling out" again. Phil is what is called "alcohol fat".
Phil is what the body building style community calls skinny fat. Skinny because he has zero muscles; nothing to do with fat. And then fat of course because heâs fat like with his gut. So combine them and you get a skinny fat person like Phil.
Phil never leaves his office or his house so he gets absolutely zero exercise. So never burns off any calories. Eats door dash 3 times a day while being drunk the whole day so heâs packing on the weight. And the most strenuous activity he does is bash a controller with his hooves. So all his muscles have atrophied.
They have the famous clip of Phil holding up a bowl of food to the camera to show the audience. And after about 3 seconds his out stretched arm starts to shake from fatigue because heâs that weak. Literally Kat could sit on Phil and he wouldnât be able to get her off of him.

To replace that joystick with an original part that was suggested to him, is $45 Canadian, not hundreds of dollars.
I don't see anywhere where qanba says you can swap it. It only says the top ball can be replaced. So that explains a bit.

My point was that he can replace the joystick relatively inexpensively and obviously didn't search on how or what to replace it with.
He caused this headache and then starts bitching about that part being hundreds of dollars without ever looking, when someone in his audience gave him the actual part number.

Fun fact. Qanba and sanwa joysticks are the same universal size. You can buy qanba and sanwa easily on Amazon. Hori however, is a very proprietary joystick made only for hori. I had trouble finding them on non-specialized sites. Qanba isn't the problem. Nor Hori for that matter. It's Phil. He broke his stick so he had an excuse to avoid SF

Id just like to add, ive had a Qanba fightstick since 2015. Almost 10 years old and ive never in it's life had any issues with it. Qanba sticks are sturdy and quality parts. Phillip is full of it when he denounces them
