I’ve never liked a show as much as Schitt’s Creek.
I’ve never felt as safe as when I’m in its world.
I’ve never known love as free to grow as when I’m watching it.
It’s not been an easy few months for any of us, but knowing that it will always be there for us makes everything ok.
Thanks to Dan, Eugene and all the cast, crew and writers for creating this perfect gem of a show that has shown us how beautiful the world could be. We will forever be indebted to them for the joy they have given us in 22 minute segments and I wish them nothing but the best of luck with all future endeavours.
The decision to make Schitt’s Creek a homophobia and bigotry free zone was a huge paradigm shift. It modelled how beautiful it would be to live in a place where David’s Pansexuality, Patrick being Gay, Ronnie being a Lesbian and Jake being Bi/Poly/Hedonistic are what they are and didn’t need an anxiety ridden episode where it was discussed and then accepted.
Dan will never truly understand what he has given us or how much this beautiful creation has meant to us.
I have never laughed or loved harder than when I have been watching Schitt’s Creek, the characters are hilarious but heartfelt, they learn and grow throughout the 6 seasons and we grew and learned to be a family as well as love with them.
I sooo agree. And all of that against the backdrop of a small sleepy town in middle America. BRILLIANT!!

I've watched schitts creek s1-6 8x. What?! Don't judge 😁😁😁. I discovered the show when they were in s5 and was so bummed to discover they were rounding up in s6.

When "Creek" debuted, I had no idea, except "this surely will be funny, two of my all-time faves from SCTV, (I was a kid in NYC, "allowed to stay up & watch it, SO "late" after SNL on NBC"), & then the Guest fiims", (more stardust brilliance!). So Creek was a definite "watch", but the characters, the writing, I immediately grew to love you all. Then Dan, you emerged as your own entity ' so adorable and talented - a family thing! I can't put pen to paper, but YOU, young man, the creative force behind "Creek" - Bravo! I've gushed too much, but your success is so well earned, (in all categories). I wish Schitt's Creek could have gone on forever. I remember marking it as a "must watch" on its debut show. Thank you Dan for the hours of laughter, smiles, and the joy you have brought to millions. I could never leave my dog for six months. Surprised he wouldn't take Redmond with him. Six years is a long time.
From memory I think Redmond was in Toronto at his parents place whilst SC was filming, like they both are atm, so not really gone just not as ever present as he is this year.
He was talking about the fact that he's working from home now. He didn't say he literally left his dog for six months, just that he wasn't home much because filming took such long hours.
