Given that Magic is not a game where "places" matter, I wouldn't have killed Platinum Angel. There's just no strategy in it. With that game state, Platinum Angel had no bearing on whether or not Imodane was going to win that game; they die to 500,000 4/4s either way. So it just comes off as spiteful to me and I'd rather not be on the receiving end of that, so I don't ever want to do that to someone else.
I don't tend to mind effects that destroy a single land. In fact, I think more people should be playing cards like Demolition Field or Strip Mine so they can hit problem non-basics like Gaea's Cradle or Glacial Chasm. Those effects generally don't completely stop players from playing (like Armageddon or Cataclysm do), but can be an easy way to keep your opponents from getting too much mana or other value from their lands. Honestly, I would love to see a card that's some version of "each player chooses 6 lands they control and sacrifices the rest". We need ways to keep land ramp decks in check and I think a caard like that would do so without grinding the game to a halt.
On the topic of card draw: checkout Mirelurk Queen from the Fallout decks. Seems perfect for Bruvac.

yeah it was def a spiteful move, i like to think i wouldn't do it in real life. but i didn't want to make the game draw on. but now that i did it i will be far more mindful of that kind of jerk move in the future .
