They’re Snow Farming in Canada: Banff Sunshine Village’s Alternative to Snowmaking

As an alternative to traditional snowmaking, Banff Sunshine Village is snow farming. They’re capturing snow in normally windswept areas and using it for the slopes. It’s part of Ski Big 3’s sustainability procedures to lessen impact on environment and Banff National Park.

Sunshine does do some snowmaking there have like 2 fan guns they make snow on the ski out and base area
