I have watched a few of these videos and subscribed thank you, I have a dilemma that even HIK support has failed to provide answers maybe you have experience. Have you ever see this before? All cameras and NVR are on current USA firmware. Also whos the Boss the NVR or the Cameras where should I be focusing my schedules?
we have seen this before here but it was a firmware issue that stopped it reverting back to 24/7 , not sure if this helps but I removed the cameras from one system , defaulted them and then re-added them once I had set the schedule in the camera and this did work
@@DVSLTD Your more help than HIK Support, thank you very much. I do have one other question, When setting Motion alerts, should I disable all in the camera and set only on the NVR? Then set Line Crossing in Camera since that does not exist in the NVR. What is the proper method? Best Practice I should say.
Is there any way of getting the camera to do this if there is no internet connection to the camera - ie .. on a building site with just a power pack connected to the camera?

Very good video! I I have followed all the steps well, but to view/download the pictures I can't because in the menu of the HIKVISION page only appears at the top: live view and configuration, but not playback and picture. Do you know why? (I inserted a micro sd card)Thank you very much and best regards!
Hi DVS.. I only use Reolink cameras but they don't have Timelapse capabilities. Is the camera you're using an IP Camera, and the software you're using to access it, is that downloadable from the hikvision website?
All our IP cameras allow this function , you can web browse into the IP camera to get the files, send them to an FTP , or use the free IVMS-4200 software to download the files , all work fine, does this help?
You always save my bacon!! One question, what if you dont have the picture tab when logged into the camera as I dont? How can you access the file without taking out the SD card?
Hey, my IP camera doesn’t have the playback and the pictures tab, but I just installed and formatted a 256 GB SD card and followed the same setup and put it in the farm, do you think I will be able to extract the files?
I have a hikvision recorder brought to me and someone wants a timelapse. But Premiere does not read the mp4 files. How can I edit them well... at all? The codec is terrible.
for the timelapse images, when you download from the memory card the filename is like ch01_00000000112008200.jpg is there any way to get the filename to have the timestamp in it at all which would be much more useful do you know?

Hello, I have Hikvision cameras taking snapshots on events and uploading it to a FTP server, but I cant make it possible to my cameras upload the clips taken and recorded to Micro SD to be upload it to the FTP server, so my question is the following is anyway to access the MicroSD (not using the web UI, or IVMS) to pull the videos out the Micro SD? my cameras are in remote locations using celular signal.
Hi Jose, the software or web is the best to be honest, past that you would have to do your own little programme to use the SDK. If the event is going to the FTP and SDCard , as you can do both , is it needed to get them again? Curious as to the application 😊
@@DVSLTD Are you guys familiar to work with SDK ? The application is the following, Cameras are installed on remote Work areas, they record snapshots of events and storage on the FTP server, besides that they record clips and storage on the micro SD, I want to be able to automate the clip recording on my FTP server automactly, so I dont have the need to every day access to the camera to pull the videos out, because we have 8 cameras total and we are going to add more, so the whole idea is to make the process simple as possible.
