Get a plastic shopping basket with a few used silicone applicator heads to prevent knots on your line. Use a bungy cord to attach it around your waist.
The next best feeling to fly fishing is tying your own fly and catching fish. Keep the fly content coming. You need to grab a second spool and load it with rio red fish and head to the coast with those game changers. Redfish on fly O M G!
Loved the video. That outfit is dialed in and looks great. Those game changer flies seemed to be the ticket. Liking the action of them. May have to offer them to the Chippewa River Smallies. Keep the fly rod action coming. Incredibly fun to watch.
Man I’ve been fly fishing for a few years mainly trout on a 5 and 6 weight but I just ordered an 8 weight with a ton of different streamers for big brown trout and striper on the Cumberland river. Looks like I’ll have to find some game changers too. Those look great and I think the striper will think so too. Cool video man keep it up!
Smart choice to play the fish from the reel when you can to train yourself on handling the fly reel. It’ll pay benefits when you fish for larger species or the bass of a lifetime.
Man you keep breaking out the fly stuff and I have not fly fished all season. I guess I need to break it out. Here it is getting cold but with that comes the stocked trout season. I will say orvis is a bit overpriced but quality stuff. I will say though I like the orvis bass line. I think now they call it warmwater but that line is smooth as butter and casts great. TFO's are nice rods almost got one a while back but already have 4 fly rods(4,5,6,and 8 weight) and didn't see how I could justify another one to the wife! :-(. Great product for the price. Being in texas though, if I were you, I would probably have gone with an 7-8 weight just gives you an opportunity to throw heavier flies. Yep now comes the roll cast and the dreaded haul and double haul. I still am trying to figure out the haul/double haul cast it is a pain but it is a great way to get longer casts. Do you have a link for the game changers? I would love to try them out in my lake in the backyard.

Check out the feather game changer. There are a ton of different styles of game changers but the feather ones swim the best for me.
Now you need a fly fishing vest. I even use mine while cat fishing.

This makes me want to bring out my fly rod! I’m a super beginner as well so this inspires me to bring it back out and get good at it!

While bringing in a fish don't grab your rod so high I've seen many guys snap there rods doing that but awesome vid brother. Fish on and tight lines.

Floating line on that one. It was our first setup and wanted it to be more “all purpose”
