Assemble the tiles on top of rubberized shelf liner so they don’t slide around.
Thanks Luke from modern family
Two brilliant things about the track design:
1) Modular, hexagon tiles with lots of flexibility
2) Same-lane penalties incentivizing players to make "wider" turns, similar to real-life turns
love it! I want to check out dirt soon.
Very efficient explanation, congratulations !
@@BrodySheard Jean-Christophe is the author of the game… ENJOY!
@@vinzglorto3851 thats embarrassing!
@@BrodySheard no, I and Jean-Christophe are thinking it's cute because You like this game and it's great. Thank you !
Awesome explanation. I always like watching vids and reading the rules before playing, then getting some play time, then watching more videos to see what I might be doing wrong. Your video has taught me that I am using the brake dice wrong, so I went back to the rule book and sure enough, it was there the whole time.....that said, I think your might be using them incorrectly as well. @3:50 in your video, wouldn’t you only need one brake die? On pages 9 and 10 of the rule book I am seeing one die per gear that you are braking down... On p9 you see examples of gear 4>5>brake>brake>2 and then 3>brake>1. In your video @3:50, you have 4>coast>brake>brake>2. I believe that the 2 should be a 1, unless I am still missing something in the rules....
You're correct, since you can always go down one gear without break dice it was a mistake to go from 4th to 2nd with two break dice as 4th to 3rd is "free" so only one break die needed to get to 2nd.
That is a cool idea for a modular board!
Great video explanation! Some corrections :)
3:22 You can start from 0 to 1 or try to kickstart to 2 (but if you roll warning, your turn is over).
3:47 you should have put only one red die, 4->2 (3 is skipped, so only one red die)
4:35 The player was on gear 2 when coming to corner with maximum speed of 1. They should have crashed with gear 2 to the corner no matter of the warning symbols on the dice. If that second white die and gear 4 die had been on another lane, it would have been ok.
5:30 the yellow flag prevent all players, not just the player who got it
hey thanks! I really appreciate the attention to detail!
How close is the size of these cars to Micro Machines? I want to buy these anyways, so I may paint the cars to stand out, or replace them if the scale is close.

nice video
Thanks!
Nice overview - Danke!
I have a question ... if I have gear 6 and there is still a long straight line ..... I can use the dice in descending order to go further or just dice 6 and white inertia only? Thank you
It's been a while since I got Rallyman GT to the table, mostly because I'm a travel nurse and can't take all my games with me, but I believe yes you can use your dice in a descending order go further.
actually there is one kind of biggie with the tracks;
the world tour expansion.
it does not allow you to make a single track listed in it's own rulebook without also owning at last 1
of the other expansions.
somebody needs to be repeatedly hit over the head with a piece of heavy mining equipment for that one.
Yeah, it look like the World Tour just adds 12 new tiles with 10 new listed tracks, but your right the new tracks need other expansions to play them. I actually don't have any of the expansions (I wish) but yeah, this should be explained better.
What do you think about extra set of dice… is the cost worth the improve downtime?
not worth it for me personally, but I can see how it could help with that.
Absolutely it's worth it.
