I purchased one today in Madison, Wisconsin at a local Hy-Vee. It was the last one and I can't believe I was able to find it here. I paid $25.00 for it and won't be chopping it up. Hope these become more available so that everyone can enjoy this plant without being over charged for a cutting.
Thanks I've been having trouble with a few cuttings of giant pothos, it's just being really slow. I'll check it tomorrow, see if I'm doing anything backwards.
Hello! I just got a cutting and I put it on sphagnum moss but I just laid it on top of it! Should I put it in a container like that? What do you suggest?
@@florafantastica5135 💕 love 💕 💕 love 💕 your video, I recently purchased a giant pothos cutting after seeing your video, Thank you so much for taking the time, to teach me about pothos... I love them small , big, and giant.
@@melpurdy4444 Oh my Im so glad you found one! the Giant Goldens are hard to find but easy to propagate! Are you able to keep yours outside? here in the bay area its warm enough until December!
I just recently moved to Florida, and these GIANT golden pothos grow wild everywhere and are popular in landscaping. Never seen anything like them! I may or may not be water propagating cuttings taken from behind a grocery store😅
@@desaitruptiIm using osmocote for my plants that are in either moss or soil which is slow release. I use a balanced liquid fertilizer that I apply in low doses at every watering. That said I water wayyyy less in winter as plants stay wet for longer and don't need so much water. I also like to give my plants micronutrients with liquid dirt.
@@thebrownshroom3488 If you have a local Hy-Vee store try there. Hope you find one and you don't get over charged for it. It's a shame that people will take a plant chop it up and charge outrageous prices for a cutting shame on them!
@@countrygirl4422 thank you so much. I don't even want to say how much and how many I've purchased from etsy. NONE made it, they were huge stems with huge leaves. I found out these plants grow wild in Florida (which is where I purchased mine from) and a few people have offered to give me free ones. I did find something similar to this one in the video...Not as big, but I only paid 35. Thank you for the info. It is really disgusting how greedy people have gotten. I am actually getting rid of most of my plants and just keeping a few that I really like... over the whole plant community in general now. I am more of a hoya and pothos person, so that's where I am selectively staying😊
Hi! I did use tap water, we have good water in the Bay Area. I tend to change the water depending on the state of the roots. If the roots look bad then more often water changes ie: need to save that plant!
