@@jamessteele4278 Some people are actually entitled to this and will still get done over you sad little shithead. Looked up the place I had to go to for mine because the info on how to even get there was so awful. You know what the first thing was? Guys from my home laying a reef outside it because their friend took his own life after being fecked about. So get fecked you pathetic sad little man. I suppose you think people with mental health issues killing themselves because of this BS is funny? No. Well STFU in future.

I applied for this award 5 weeks ago. It took hours to complete the form and I included every piece of medical evidence I could. It was like reading a book. Hospital letters from my recent visit and copy prescriptions showing my 17 repeat items were included. I got my award this week finding out that 5 weeks full payment had been paid into my account. Confirmation letter arrived yesterday. The point I am making is, take your time, think of everything and give as much evidence as you possibly can. I can't complain, I had excellent service from the DWP. Whole situation sorted in 4 weeks.

I have aspergers and have struggled all my life to make friends and keep jobs. I was recently diagnosed after years of depression and struggle, and found myself unable to keep a job due to my condition worsening; the PIP assessors awarded me zero points and they lied in the decision notes to justify their unfair decision. How can they just deny someone, with a stroke of the pen, this help after diagnosis, medical documents showing past history of depresssion leading to therapy and drugs, and two written letters explaining in detail how my condition effects me from keeping jobs to making friends, and which has worsened with the passage of time, I will never understand. Perhaps they want us to fight for it. I can understand that if the amount to fight for was a substantial amount, but it is isn't. And these people in their jobs who make these decisions with a swipe of pen had better make sure they don't lose their jobs, develop some medical condition and find themselves in our situation. I would not want anyone to have gone through with what I've struggled with and what I continue to struggle with, but the only way you can make people understand what you've gone through is for them to find themselves in that place.

The people that work for pip are total scumbags, they are told to twist questions so they help as few people as possible no matter their condition, a friend quit as she was disgusted by what she was seeing them do. If you are ever in contact be as awkward and unfriendly as possible as it will make no difference to how you are treated, they are the enemy in your claim and will do anything they can to get in the way already.

I had received no points.

My assessor was a robot, very unfriendly and kept cutting me off every time I spoke about my illness. I came home and could not sleep feeling very angry about being treated like dog shit. Previously to that the extra stress waiting for the assessment made me even more ill.
Luckily I got granted PIP and then had to go through it all again with ESA. I know there used to be a lot of scroungers on sick benefit bit surely there has to be a better way to deal with disabled and ill people.

  • @albertsmith1048

PIP is very intrusive, you should not have to tell anyone about your toilet habits, and the assistance required from your carer or indeed wife. Added to this, there is the mental aspect, waiting over twelve months and still waiting for a tribunal is simply cruel and inhuman. Added to this debacle is the original "examination" where the ATOS assessors simply lie through their back teeth when compiling their report. And to then read from an OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT REPORT by the OBR (Office of Budget Responsibility) that this new PIP system is actually costing more to implement than the original DLA is the icing on the cake. We all know that this flawed new systems target was to reduce the amount of monies paid out to the most deserving in our society. To finish, PIP is a flawed system and must be put to death, period.

Albert Smith No I’m afraid you are completely wrong. You have to explain intimate details of your toileting issues in great detail including bladder and bowels. It’s not humiliating or embarrassing as the person reading it doesn’t know you from Adam. If you are genuine then this isn’t a problem at all. I provided several pages of information on my toileting issues and ended up with 8 points which is the maximum score for this question. I also provided medical evidence to verify what I was saying was reasonable, fair and accurate. Pip has been a really smooth transition for me. It took 4 months and I ended up getting the correct award first time without a face to face. I’m getting the exact same money as when I was on DLA. I was objective and positive from the start. DWP have to justify their decision making and the more information you can provide the better.

    • @HighTen_Melanie
      @HighTen_Melanie Před 4 lety +1

Be Happy Well luckily for me it wasn’t BS. I was on the higher rate of DLA and now on ER of PiP. My condition is very severe and won’t improve. My award is ongoing and on the medical report I’ve been recommended for no reassessment in the future so it’s not always bad news for everyone. However, I appreciate this isn’t the case for most people and a lot needs to change throughout the system because too many people are being reassessed.

I have Diabetes, Reactive Hypoglycemia and Peripheral & Autonomic Neuropathy. Whilst Peripheral Neuropathy affects the the feet, toes and with extreme pain, Autonomic Neuropathy affects the central nervous system, causing a wobbly walk, and worst of all vision. I've got double vision in both eyes, even with Prisms in my spectacles I still have double vision. And if that isn't enough I have the stress and worry having been switched over to Universal Credit. I received my first payment on April 1, of £155 for the month. How the hell, does the DWP expect a person to survive on such a sum for the month. I've put in a claim for PIP and still waiting to hear from them. I took my Passport, Driving Licence and Bank Statement to the local Jobcentre so they could photocopy and verify who I am, to PIP. The photocopied documents were posted back to PIP on Wednesday.

Speak to MIND charity. They can advise you too. There are people who can help you with your form dont be afraid to ask for help. Call the DWP and tell them you need help with filling out the form. We did our best for him had money matters involved and we totally relied on this but I think we where under prepared for what we had to go through my son had to sit in front of a judge and doctor and some other woman and answer a load of questions they where asking him things like does he have a PlayStation can he read and follow the instructions
Is he learning to drive (why)
No autistic person should have to go through this we had to force him to go to it his mum who is not in the best of health is blaming herself for not being successful was in floods of tears all that night after and nerves shot to bits

Have just been successful at a tribunal. It was an eighteen month fight.
This may be obvious but I went to the Citizens' Advice Bureau.
The person there asked me the right questions in so many words. He typed out a letter with relevant details for every descriptor section with regard to PIP.
This was to take to the tribunal.
All they did was read this and the judge said he didn't wish to put me through any questioning.
Got my award decision after five minutes. He said they couldn't understand why the assessor had given me so few points.

My final comment here is that the First Tier Tribunal rejected my appeal on the 26/22019 but also directed that that I attend a future assessment and comply with DWP procedures.
Five months after this decision,no further assessment date has been given to me by the DWP and I will be making this known to the First Tier Tribunal and even though I am out of time,I will be appealing to the Upper Tribunal and explain to them that the First Tier Tribunal were lied to,that the judgement was not based on the true facts and that I have been unwell and have major sight problems so was unable till now to appeal to the higher tribunal and that I had a cataract operation on my right eye in April, which took six weeks to heal and unfortunately is still causing me major sight problems and I had my tear ducts flushed-out two weeks ago which were blocked but this has not resolved the problem with my right eye and I am now waiting to see the eye surgeon again.
