It’s funny how gentle and warm he seems yet can give some of the most sinister looks and performances better than most actors I’ve seen when playing dangerous bad guys.
Oh he sooo is!!! Ive met him, hugged him&kissed his cheek. He's absolutely most beautiful person inside and out❤️❤️❤️i felt his warmth from his heart which i often feel & notice everything others dnt being spiritually gifted. I feel things very often before seeing them. He has such a pure& true heart which i hardly ever come across when it comes to humans mostly animals. Bt he definitely has a beautiful heart♥️nothing fake about him whatsoever ♥️
lol. that's kind of the job of an actor
@@RamtinKand this will forever incredible bc that's not every actor who is capable of delevering emotions
❤
SUCH a good actor. Makes you hate and love Ivar at the same time
True
I don't like Ivar but the Actor is great. He reminds me of that GOT (Greyjoy)
@@silviahannak3213 ivar is the best character
only the best actors can achieve this..its very difficult to do... homie can act
"you can't kill me.. I'm Ivar the boneless... I'm IVAR THE BONELESS..."- that scene is just epic man..
The way Ivar died in the show completely broke me; never cried like that in a show....ever. Alex's acting was on point. It was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.
He is an amazing young actor! Wish him a good luck in future roles 🤞
Ivar, I love him so much. I was mesmerised by his character, so flawed and I was appalled by his atrocities, but I was still drawn to his frailties and deep need to be loved and needed. Alex played Ivar to perfection, so young and so talented, amazing. I have watched Vikings 4 times, and I still go back and watch certain scenes with Ivar in them. Alex has a great future.
He’s so handsome and sweet and endearing. I love him
You're appreciated ❤
His voice is beautiful ❤️
Thank you for your love and support ❤
* crosses fingers * if Alex ever ends up in Marvel I'll scream.
Omg yesss!
The fact that he would absolutely be fun to have in the MCU is a given. But I pose this question. Villain or hero?
@@cquiles386 hero, he'll last longer, have more character range and won't be killed off by the end of the movie.
But I lowkey want villain 'coz he'd make an iconic one.
@@Prof.SeverusSnape yeah he'd be an insanely awesome villain. Any ideas on who you'd pick him to portray?
@@cquiles386 I don't think there is a character for him yet, and Kevin Faige has a tendency to changing character genders and comic book plot to fit the larger scheme of the MCU continuity.
Although... if he's introduced in the Eternals universe in phase 4 then fleshed-out in phase 5 as a human-turned-super character that would be epic.
Young Avengers, too! That would be an interesting fit as well. A teen or youth (19-late 20s) character is pretty good, Alex has the look and the acting range to play out that role, and after all look at characters like Joaquin Torres or Monica Rambeau, not necessarily main cast, but I have a feeling they are going to have greater roles in the future like Sam Wilson and Darcy Lewis did.
Give him a character journey like Steve Rodgers or Tony Stark, particularly Tony stark in the sense that he started out as this flawed character who was morally grey then had to endure a hardship that made him question who he is as a person, who he'd want to be and his will to achieve it.
A struggle with growth, sacrifice and a desire for good would make for a compelling story than a focus on his powers.
His deep. His a thinker, a philanthropist, he makes chess moves, he has a big heart yet he carries so much weight. His special❤
Ww need to see this guy in more movies such a good actor
I literally cried when he died! Such a good guy much love and respect to him
"I'm not even that comfortable speaking english" WHAT? His english is flawless though!
Additionally - his teeth are similar to my husband's and i think he has such a beautiful smile! Really sweet looking. I genuinely think they give him a gentler appearance which helped with Ivar too.
This was a fantastic interview and he deserves every success in the future! I hope he is given the opportunity to totally switch base following this and do a comedy role or something because I get the impression he'd be brilliant at that.
Thanks you for your love and support ❤
First of all why does this have not over 1 million views, this interview is great especially the answer he gave about how the ending has his influence all over it, it was perfect and what he said about whoever he would choose to play if he wasn't chosen for the roll of Ivar. Great interview and great guy.
Alex is truly AMAZING as Ivar!! I couldn't imagine anyone else pulling off this role like he did. And his character was one of the main reasons you wanted to watch the show. Michael Hirst is an amazing creator of hit shows. It's like he truly knows what people to cast. Bringing history to life is definitely his forte. I really think Alex is a phenomenal actor. And it was such a pleasure to get to watch him bring such a complex character to life. Ivar is one of those guys you love to hate. And I really don't think that anyone could have done him the justice that Alex did. Thank you Alex Hogh Anderson for the hard work and dedication you brought to Ivar. It was again a true pleasure watching you perform. Vikings was one of my favorite shows and I was sorry to see it end. But thankfully you went out with a blaze of glory!!! The God's would be proud!! Thank you!!! Can't wait to see what other characters you have in store for us!!
I love that the EYES were very descriptive in the acting...Alex did a fantastic job! He made you love to hate to love him!! I love the interaction with Igor!
Thanks for the love and support ❤
I loved & hated him at the same time lol… Awesome actor & extremely humbling to hear him say he was a nobody going into this, then watch him kill it each episode 🔥
Alex is so, so, so true with Ivar being an antihero. I always found there's such a likeability, such an empathy you can find with the character. And I think it was the perfect combination of Alex ensuring he performed with an understanding of Ivar's beliefs and intentions and perspectives, as well as just a fantastic script that really does drive it all home. It's not often that I don't see this guy as the greatest actor on Vikings and that's saying a lot with actors like Travis, Gustav, Marco Ilso, Katheryn, Clive, Linus, Moe (I could literally list near the entire cast, that's how good they all are) but Alex just routinely brought 110% to the character and it paid off substantially. There's an intelligence, an observation and a respect that Alex brings, you see and hear the consideration for the material, to do what's best for the character. That isn't something you always see, say from a lot of Marvel actors now (I loved the MCU but you see when the actors get way too settled into their roles that they give bog standard answers and seem to care more for what they want to do than whether it makes sense or fits the character), but Alex just made the character, he was so brilliant. Where there was once Ragnar, then there was Ivar. 'I understand it must be hard for you to accept that the true heir to the great Ragnar Lothbrok should turn out to be a cripple and a reject.'
I love how he talks about the character as if he's a flesh and blood person that he knew very well. That shows Alex's dedication. The show is bomb. His character is unlike I've ever seen. It was quite a ride.
Yes, this was a very good interview. Hes so sensitive and has compassion and passion for what must have been such a difficult character to play and he played it flawlessly. This interview showed me that Alex is seems like a really good person and intelligent and sees into his character and how he might of battled with all those emotions of his crazy life.He did an excellent job,and should be very proud.
Ive done lots of research about Ivar the boneless, and of course its historical, never gets into him as a person, but Vikings did a great job, portraying how he mite have been as a man behind the concourer. Great interview!-Thank you
Im gonna come back to this once I've finished watching Vikings
what a beautiful pronunciation! ... one of the few actors that I can always understand !!! 😆🇮🇹
Thanks for your love and support ❤
I've never seen a show that was good from start to finish. Not one boring season. The way they were able to keep the viewers coming back even after 4 years, which around that time people tend to get tired of the shows and characters. But they were able to keep our interests by bringing on Alex and the rest of the newer cast members. What a great show. Ivar especially was one person we all loved to hate. And alex did an amazing job.
His eyes are so intense!
You're loved ❤
What an incredible actor and human at such a young age.
Exceptionally good actor. My favourite character in Vikings.
He still is a young gun and in all seriousness, he is an amazing actor..so natural and believable in everything I have watched him in..all the Danish shorts on here included,as Ivar he was incredible..a true master of his craft and I hope he realises this!. He seems extremely humble and down to earth considering his huge fan base and all the praise he gets..he will go very far with it all and still keep hold of himself I feel. Look forward to seeing him in other work in the future, can't wait actually!!
Thank you for your love and support ❤

You definitely gripped my attention. The speed crawling and the piercing eyes kept me engaged longer than I expected to be. Bravo.
You are definitely not nobody now. Looking forward to your future projects.
How can Ivar burn people alive and could Alex make us still like him? I don't know, but he did it!!! Congrats!
Thank you for your unending and unconditional love ❤
Your character reflects how people feel inside but are forced to hold it in. He just lived.
Plus being crazy attractive probably helped haha!

Great interview, I loved his performance, really, a lot. I though it was not going to be that awesome after Ragnar, but Alex did an outstanding job. Viking is the best series I've seen in my live, incredible production, amazing locations and perfect casting. Thank you!
I love that set. I have a piano just like that one. Go Alex! Thanks for Vikings, it's my favorite series. I am disabled and I like how you present a disabled person trying their hardest, no matter what. We do, indeed, live a different life.
Youre appreciated ❤
great stuff thanks for sharing!
he REALLY is a discovery
Simply he is a great new actor plus his good clean shape look, it helps for his future career👌💙

Wonderful series wonderful actors. Good interview
He's good actor, he'll make you love and hate him.
Amazing interview
Ivar the boneless is a better villain than Thanos
I LOVE U ALEX! And IVAR is my love 😘 Can’t wait to see more of your face on screen in the future !
Keep going alix your a great acter I would love to have met yous all from vikings before I go
Ivar was strong and true and gave love to those he trusted. Not impressed by how sigurd treated him. He was strong and fierce not because of his disability but inspite of it. Ivar Lothbrok is a warrior xx
Incredible acting!
And you, Alex, you are pretty smart, actually. Because your Ivar is very loved ! So, this is your merit not just the merit of the script !👍💖

you are very good actors and i hope we can see a lot more of you.

He was also really sinister when he crawls around. 😱
His body language on the show was phenomenal! The pillaging scene in York where he crawls towards the Saxon Bishop in the church was terrifying! he can’t walk but his slow body movement still managed to strike fear into the hearts of the Saxons 💥💥
A fantastic bad guy actor
Ivar embodied the Viking spirit, even more so than Ragnar or Bjorn. So, his death meant so much more than just one man dying. For me, Ivar’s death was also the death of a remarkable people’s strength, risk-taking courage, madness, and lust for the testing of skilled warfare, thirst for exploration and drive for violence and adventure. Now, people embody the spirit of sheep. We want to live nice lives and keep the peace. I think with the death of Ivar who embodied the Viking spirit and with the death of the Vikings, a part of ourselves was lost forever. THIS is why my heart broke as I watched Ivar lay dying.
Which co stars do you still keep in touch with?
You're brilliant actor.
Youre appreciated ❤
He wasn’t comfortable speaking english ? My goodness you’d never know that …. Fantastic actor who absolutely embodied Ivar the Boneless !
The final scene was historically inaccurate but this guy was amazing.
I cried final scene
the entire show had very historically inaccurate storylines. Not saying it was all wrong because they got a lot of things right too, but just enjoy the show for what it is, historical fiction. If they made the show as historically accurate as possible, it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as it is.
13:38 very true
13:00 hes right, ivarrs death scene was fckn good
Lindooo

Ivar the Boneless🔥☠️🔥
So handsome
That’s one of the aspects I love about Vikings. The grey characters that are good and evil; unlikeable and likeable.
hes a fckn smart guy

I am seeing Ivar in a much different way now.
