The Watershed Garden - with Jodie Cook

Tree of Life Nursery’s friend and colleague, Jodie Cook, ASLA, (owner of MyAvantGarden and Jodie Cook Landscape Design), speaks on the importance and application of creating a water conscious garden. In this presentation, Jodie describes designing and implementing a garden in concert with your local watershed. Jodie is an expert horticulturalist, designer, and educator and promotes using your landscape sustainably to capture rainwater within the garden.

The island plant video was terrific. I hadn’t realized how many of the plants I have put in my garden over the last ten years are from the islands. Also I live in Temecula which is not coastal but I am lucky to have 5 large old native sycamores and other large trees on my half acre which creates a lot of shade and allows these plants to do well in spite of the hotter dryer climate. I do get occasional frosts which excludes some island plants. Thanks so much for creating these native plant videos.
