Delivering on a Shared Vision with America’s Indo-Pacific Allies and Partners

  • Previewing upcoming travel by Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to the Indo-Pacific region, AEI’s Kori Schake and Zack Cooper will speak with senior officials from the Biden administration about their efforts to strengthen alliances and partnerships in support of a shared vision for a free and open region.
    Panelists Daniel J. Kritenbrink of the State Department, Mira Rapp-Hooper of the National Security Council, and Ely S. Ratner of the Department of Defense will discuss President Biden’s, Secretary Austin’s, and Secretary Blinken’s recent and upcoming engagements with their regional counterparts. Panelists will then review how these engagements advance the United States’ Indo-Pacific strategy and regional priorities and address challenges such as countering China’s coercion and North Korea’s provocations.

    Good lord.... india should carefully avoid being dragged into cold war 2.0. We should negotiate with the chinese to end the border standoff and sit this one out. Our defence forces are just that. For the defence of india. And not a platform for ego and posturing. India should keep good relations with everyone both west and china and not get entangled in military adventures.
