So Very Easy Ephemera for Junk Journals

An easy way to make ephemera for a junk journal with common magazine or book images.
I’m using a very common floral image from a gardening book. I needed a botanical journaling card for the third day prompt “botanicals” in my personal journal. This month I am following the challenge #JunkJournalJuly with @megjournals on Instagram.
I hope this helps you use up some of the massive file of magazine pages you’ve been collecting!

It's beautiful!! I love how you used the steel wool to distress the edges- I'll definitely be trying that!! What is the name of the white stuff you put a little bit of on the picture with your finger and then stuck the paper with the words on top of it? It sounded like you said gessel???? Lol.... I'm not sure what you called it but it looks beautiful and I'd love to get some of it for my projects, I just don't know what it's called. TIA 🥰

Thank you for watching! The white stuff is Gesso - it's like a thick acrylic paint. Artists use it most commonly to prime paper and other foundations before further painting.
