- G'day folks. Rod from My Water Filter here today and what we're gonna do, is just have a quick chat on shower filters. We've been here today testing some new products and trying out some new shower filters and the customers have been on the phone this week again all right, and the same old question is, I've got eczema, I'm itchy, I've got blonde hair, my hair's going green. Another big one is, the chlorine smell in my shower.
I feel dizzy when I get out of the shower, okay. All of these, just come back to the same old thing and it's just the chemical, the chlorine, the chloramine the water treatment that our water goes through before it gets to your home, okay. So the absolute honest truth from me is to straightaway get outside and put a whole house water filter on there. Great big block of carbon, big gold carb, some whole house water filter, that'd be fantastic.
That'll take all your problems away instantly. But that's not probable for most people. A lotta people apartments or whatever it might be. So what do you do to treat your water if you've got chlorinated government water. Well a shower filter, some of the shower filters today are absolutely fantastic, and they will absorb most of that chemical and garbage out of the water, and you get a good one like an Aquasana, it's like having a shower in rainwater.
They really are that good. There's a lot of carbon in them, a lot of contact time with the water and it does treat that chemical and get it out, okay. So I'm in for any shower filter. I really advise anybody to get a shower filter if they don't have one.
The gas that you're breathing in this cubicle, it's just no good for you. We see some videos on CZcams, the doctor on there, just saying to customers, if you're having a shower and you're feeling a bit dizzy, it's not because you just had a nice hot shower in winter, it's because you've been absorbing chlorine, carcinogenic gas for five minutes in the shower and it made you dizzy cause you're half dead.
So we just gotta listen to these doctors and listen to what's going on out there. The water is delivered to our homes and it's nice and clean, but it does have a lot of chemical in it, and when it's heated up over 25 degrees, we get some reactions and you just wanna be aware of those. And if you can have a look on the website or have a look around your area, get yourself a nice shower filter. There's a whole different range of them nowadays.
Aquasana's probably our best. Sprite is world-class. There's vitamin showers and the Aroma Sense Vitamin C shower head, take a look at that one if you don't like your shower head, because that is the most magnificent shower and I even use it myself at home. So have a look around and check it out but a shower filter certainly is a cheap way of getting some beautiful water into your house.
