Do the government allow them to be on the street and do this? Also, what do they do with their stations after they finish work?
Shoe shiners who have a stand on the street (like in this case) need a license. Shoe shiners are part of a worker's union so they need to be registered and pay a fee to be part of it. After the work day is over, they move the stand to a warehouse or a place they pay rent to store the stand.

@@ShoeShinewithKat After the initial brushing and solvent cleaning, _Machine_ _Man_ applies an ochre-coloured cream from a jar (~7:00+). Further on, he anoints a liquid from a red bottle (~12:00+). 'Shea butter' for the cream, and 'jojoba oil' for the liquid popped up in my mind. The SUPERB outcome of the Docs might indeed proof my weird assumption LOL. I probably should not comment my immediate thoughts anymore; too incomprehensible. I better just simp in the future 🤡
The spring weather still is too chilly & wet for sandals and such very light footwear. My sleek Chelsea boots for example wear nicely at this point in time.

Thin black laces would look really classy on those boots and the simplest way to make them look neater & cleaner is to lace them uniformly left over right (or right over left) after each pass through each eyelet.
