Since you were spending the money and bother with replacing it. You should have added a catch can so only the air but not the oil finds it way through the throttle body and into the intake. But actually the PCV line on the driver side vents more so more vital to place a catch can on that side, if you care about it in the first place. As on a stock port injected motor it doesn't matter in the same way as on a modern direct injection one.
