As i can see in the video , for this specific cluster of A4, there is no need to solder anything . there is a zif socket . Do you ship this LCD worlwide ?

I would guess, that this would be a part of the communication bus/line, not a separate RPM wire.

Hi it seems I have a short on mine. It displays fine every now and then when o first start the car hit as soon as I put the car into gear or open a door it goes out :/ any ideas ?

What do you call that procedure that you're doing with the speedo and rpm needles? How important is it to do it exactly how you did it?
It's a stepper motor. Likely what he is doing is to set it way below 'zero' so it will recalibrate. If you see that the needles move in position you're ready to go.

I replace my lcd but i dont figure out how to back meedless back...i dont use a jack to enter them.i right possion i just back them vouple of times and point them about mm from first line...and now when i am braking they dont going back good...they are backing slowly and stoping...? The display for Audi A4 B6 2001-2004 is the same as the one for Audi A4 B5? I'm from Portugal and I would like to know if the Audi A4 B5 fits also for my car please. The instrument cluster is identical to the one in the video.Tks.
Nope, different display. B6 plug and play, B5 requires soldering.

You need to make a note to yourself the default position you removed them from.
Hello my friend you think the Instrument cluster controls the climate control light, the alarms, the indication signals, key not unlocking nor locking via remote. If you could reply back would be a great help. need to find out if my one needs resoldering as mentioned above neither of those work lol. The button to change the display ain't working an also doesn't let me sync keys using the method from manual book lol

I have an '01 A8L, the time/date and mileage recorder screens seem to fail from heat. Cannot locate a place to buy replacements. Where can I find them?
My wild guess is yank yard. Lot of A8 are there. Purchase the donor cluster and grab the screens from it.

Heat seems to be the problem. For what I understand, replacing the screen fixes it.
Thanks for this video! I just replaced my screen and it seems to be a lot more dim than the old one. Do you think that is just the screen? Or maybe I didn’t get it plugged in all the way?
Ty Woodruff , it’s most likely the design of the replacement screen if you didn’t plug it all the way properly you won’t see anything on it. But since you see the information, but it’s more dim than the original - it’s just a way the replacement screen is.
A lot of used A4 owners don't know but there is also a cluster dimmer control. The `+´ and `-´ buttons to the left bottom of your cluster controls this. Some you just press and hold....some you have to click up or down. Try that.

Odometer is not affected. Easy repair. No need for a shop :)

I went to the junk yard, found a connector, then googled few Audi forums for the instrument cluster pinout and soldered a couple wires. Been more than a decade ago.
Can i buy another cluster that has that screen colored, and just swap it with my screen that is just red letters? Will it work without coding or do I need to code stuff for it to work?
I’m pretty sure that simple swap won’t work without a programming.

Hello, there are three types of display. Red monocrome, color monocrome and the color LCD (black,red,yellow colored). Is it in all types the same way to repair it. Where i can buy that color LCD?

You can replace backlight LEDs to whatever color you want.

In the beginning cluster had missing pixels. After the repair - no missing pixels. Was cluster repaired?
