@@kukuc96 well, WEC cars are much slower than F1 cars, even LMP1, they are also safer because there is a lot more car between the driver and the outside
@@kukuc96 plus they have TC with different levels to adapt for the conditions. Granted there are a lot more cars and multiple classes, but I'd rather not drive a 900hp rwd 730kg car with no electronic aids on crazy conditions

Project cars 2 has many flaws, but the immersion factor in VR is still top notch.

Weather changes and Live Track 3.0 are two of the main reasons why Project CARS 2 is my go-to sim and I pretty much don´t ger my head around most other sims. Great driving mate! *thumbsup*
To see the race live was the best racing experience I've ever had. Just the RSR is Eargasm.

I've heard the RSRs in IMSA at my local track: mid Ohio. It was very memorable. I can't imagine them at Spa. Don't think I'd enjoy that weather much though haha
Jimmy, I love listening to you narrate the race like an announcer while you're driving. You can definitely feel the tension and the adrenaline in your voice.
This is why PCars2 is my favorite sim! I'll admit, some cars don't feel as nice as they do in other sims, some cars are literally undrivable (looking at the majority of 1970 or earlier vehicles), but the intensity and immersion is second to none! Good to see it back on the channel 😄😄

@@boiledelephant IMO the oldrr cars in this game feel like they have way less grip than they due in rl so the older race cars spin and spin
They give you a horrendous tune for most of the cars, the only car ive driven so far that I just cannot setup right is the group C Jaguar. Ride height is maxed out at like a half inch of travel but otherwise ive been able to make the others handle “good”
i actually was at that awesome race, it was freezing cold and a hour later the sun shined. it damn was i intresting race and that porche is loud AF

Come to Sebring next March for the 1,000K on Friday and the IMSA 12 hr on Saturday. It may rain, but it will be warm.

I will never understand why these tires take a year to heat up, or why we dont get tire warmers in the cars that had them irl… some cars I literally cant get up to temp no matter what
@@americanpride9733 ya for real though, I run in a few Xbox leagues and have won races because I run Wet tires on a dry track… depending on the track, time of year and car

I was at Brands Hatch for Blancpain GT the same weekend.... We had the same insane weather. Rain, sunshine, rain, sunshine. We had sleet and all. The weather map was blobs of cloud all over the country and into Europe.
Made for interesting driving, lots of deds, especially at Paddock Hill, but man, crazy.
Even NASCAR was rained out at Dover, Delaware here in the colonies.
I was there on the Sunday, luckily no mad weather then.
IMSA at Mid-Ohio had pretty much everything but the snow. Plus mud so thick it tried to pull your boots right off your feet.

Good to see that I'm not the only one who likes the Judd Ligier......in the league I'm racing in I'm the only one driving it, most of the others are driving Ligier-Nissans and I think 2 guys are driving the Honda Liegier.
Two are also driving the RWD and 2 the old Oreca Nissan......and they are surprisingly competitive.

@@drazenbudis7881 True.. The puddles are like death traps.. If AC had this weather system, heaven.. Sol is great aswell though
Jaka Kosmac Puddles are not even that bad, its the detail that its made ok.
But overall grip and dynamics on wet surface are nothing alike what they should be.
You literaly have more grip on wet with wet tyres than you have on dry with slicks (even Jimmer adresses that during video), and thats about as wrong as it gets.
Sol is, as much as I know, purely visual and does not affect physics at all, unless you tweak grip values on specific tracks yourself before you drive each track.
It you want to try a very good wet track behaviour in a sim, try Gtr2.

@@drazenbudis7881 Look at the setup Jimmy had though. In the dry the car was understeering like crazy and the lack of grip was at the front. With the reduced grip in the rain and on wet tyres, the rear livens up more creating a car with more neutral handling, with oversteer being more of a problem. The greater amount of grip he was feeling is from the car being more balanced...

Spa was the first WEC race I’ve watched, and although I didn’t get to watch all of it live and had to watch the rest later, it was incredible. The racing in GTE Pro is amazing, and of course the weather, I’ve never seen anything like it! Can’t wait for Le Mans

Physics are pretty good. It feels the most realistic to me, Sure, some cars are better than others, but overall it is very realistic.
@@CristiNeagu I disagree. Most of the cars pretty bad like gt3 , gte , touring cars. I don't know anything about the vintage cars in real life but they look good to me and I'm having fun while driving them.

It's an improvement from the physics of pcars1 which were like nfs shift physics. This ones feels a little better, cars don't float that much like they used to but still, the way tires lose and regain grip it just feel odd for me

He always does it. Having your foot to the side is more comfortable if you’re not braking for a while.

Sometimes i ran with my BMW 2002 Touring Car in the Back of an LMP2 because they braked too early.
@@drewgalbraith4499 Except whe they go over a water pool. Nothing happens to them, while you drit to another galaxy. Depending on the circuit, this is incredibly annoying or just straight up controller breaking.

Yep, multi class endurance racing is some of the best of racing on the planet currently, and sadly, none of it is in GT Sport

The racing in the GT classes for this race was incredible. A few of the Pro cars ran wheel to wheel in the wet for most of the race.
I was there at Spa and it was just insane. The only time the track was dry during the 6 hours, was in the first 3 or 4 laps.
I was there as I live like 15 minutes away from Spa, it was soo crazy, even I had never seen something like that at Spa.. but was really much fun and interesting to look at ! :D

You should have seen at least the last two Nürburgring 24 hrs races they were also hit by crazy weather hail one year stopped the race and then once the race got going it all came down to a last lap down pour . Last year was also hit by heavy rain again stopping the event for driver safety on the old part of the track , once again once restarted it was another epic finish . But then again both Spa and Nürburgring are in the same forest , both can see rapids weather changes , and this is why they are both legendary tracks for a drive to race on. Great Video though thanks.

I was at this race in Spa with Racing Team Nederland, the weather was crazy! Walked a lap with my dad around the track when the snow storms hit
I went to pikes peak for the hill climb and there was sun, rain, thunderstorm, fog, and snow. Was the most insane 8 hours of my life.
That our weather everyday in a nut shell. The weather change like that and that fast at any time of the day
