I do look forward to Fleet Friday at Fleet Service Division
Glad you like them!
U have the BEST content of FDNY response videos. I love how u give the verbal codes on scene, while walking around. Your access to areas of which others probably wouldn’t be allowed is AWSOME! When u say “we got a …. “ on the scene it makes me feel like I’m right there. The “Fleet Fridays” are most cool! There’s apparatus you’ve captured, which I never ever thought existed! I’ll look into supporting your channel. Thanks Skyler! 🇺🇸👍👍😁
Thanks for watching
Thank you.

And, yes these vehicles are situated for a jack of trades for a variety of situations.
HAPPY FLEET FRIDAY 😁👍THANKS FOR THE VIDEO SKYLER 👍🙏🇺🇸

Thanks for watching
Love me some fleet fridays
Thanks
My friend Robbie and Lindsey love your videos
Thank you great video.
Glad you liked it!
Skyler, SSLs are Ladder Tenders, by another name. I would bet more ladder companies will receive them, in the future. With all the storm troubles, these days! SSLs save miles on Ladder companies and get into places Ladders can't!! Fleet Fridays have to rate high in Fire Apparatus Walk-arounds!!!👍👍👍🚒🚒🚒
Never heard of a Ladder tender…. They will not be adding anymore. Actually phasing out. They don’t respond as much as they use too.
@@SkylerFire Ladder Tenders carry equipment that would overload a ladder truck. I know FDNY studies all the runs and use of vehicles, Thanks!
the FDNY,one call brings it all.
Love your content, keep up the good work!
Thanks so much!
My friend Robbie and Lindsey love your videos
Thanks
I love your channel. Greetings from Poland!
Thanks so much!
Great work!!
Thanks a lot!
Does the FDNY have an actual command bus, on your fire videos command is always outside on the street?
Command Board will always be at the scene. On the 2nd Alarm the Field Com Unit Responds.
Nice
Thanks
Plane Crash !!!! Great video
Thanks
Loving this series! Your voice audio was a bit difficult to hear in this one though. Overall, great overview!
Sorry about that
Can you do the comm vans
You mean Field Com?
These are attached to Ladder Companies right?
25 of them yes. It’s considered there 2nd piece….
Does the ladder go out of service while they are on a quick response, or does it respond 2 men short if called to another alarm...
So when it’s used as a SOC Support Ladder it will respond with the Ladder and the SSL… Usually the outside team OV & Roof will be on the SSL…. If the unit is used as a RRV usually Overtime personnel of Officer and 2 Firefighters.
TKS
Why does it have a phone?
It’s not a phone that’s how they talk on the radio
So do they respond in place of the rescue when a heavy rescue is not needed on a call?
They use to Respond in place of Rescue when they weren’t available for fires but now a Rescue will always respond to fires. During a high volume of calls they may respond in replace of a rescue if none are available.
@@vinnyb.1314 during high volume calls a SSL may respond.
@@vinnyb.1314 I didn’t realize they 5 reserve rescues. Thanks Vinny!
Technically 6….
@@SkylerFire I know you haven’t done a squad review but squads are used as rescues/have some of the same training, correct?
Skyler help an Aussie out mate. What's the difference between a Hazmat tech level 1 and the Hazmat techs on squads and the haztech engine's?
Squads, Hazmat Tech Engines are Hazmat Tech Level 2…. So Squads and Hazmat Engines can go inside… SSLs can only mitigate the situation and make it better from outside… Level 2 operations inside ops.
@@SkylerFire ahh I get it now. Cheers Skyler 😁
