They definitely need to figure out a way to increase their production though because one short game after 6 years is ridiculous.

If helldivers 2 was a Nintendo game and it was on steam, they wouldn't have backtracked at all. They are way more stubborn than Sony. Also, the 3d All-stars fiasco seems to be gone from people memory... they are a terrible company that have great games. That's it, nothing else.

Plus pc players also enjoy Xbox exclusives, retro games for nostalgia, PC game pass, Emulators for Nintendo, Ps3, Ps2 consoles. Better resolution, 60+ fps while these so called next gen consoles still caped with some games on 30 fps. Limitless customization options. Consoles are still great for some people with their requirements and get the job done, but don't even try to degrade PC gaming

As much as people complain about it, they forget that it took 10-20 failures in a row for Japan Studio to shut down. Sony gave them A LOT of chances that no other publisher would've given. Every studio that Sony shut down was typically given a whole lot of chances before the shut down.

so from my understanding, Arkane Austin (who lost 90 percent of their original developers due to REDFALL having to be a thing ... which is more a zenimax blunder than microsoft), alpha dog closed down because well it was a dozen people who worked on mobile games and had 2 published, Tango Gameworks i thought had their Lead leave the company and make their own studio (who knows how many people left), and Roundhouse games got folded into Zenimax Online Studios to add to the ESO workforce so not necessarily a closure as they were already helping Zenimax Online
the closures kinda makes sense especially considering i have no idea what Alpha Dog was working on or could have been working on

This is honestly not that surprising lmao. Besides the Todd Howard RPG’s like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Starfield, all of the games that Bethesda has published for like the last 10 years have flopped in sales.
I predict that in a few years only the RPG’s will remain under Bethesda because people didn’t support those other games.
Redfall killed Arkane Austin so in some way I can understand that. But Tango had a low-key hit with Hi-Fi Rush so I don't get that at all. I can wait to see how much they have to cut at Activision. I knew this was going to happen and was against all these acquisitions and mergers.

Tango Gameworks being shut down is a travesty. They were Xbox's only Japanese studio and they release an extremely creative game, which Xbox says they want along with better relations with the Japanese market, yet they get shut down. Whoever thought to take Devil May Cry and combine it with a rhythm game is a genius in my eyes.
I was so excited when it was announced for PS5, I got the deluxe edition. I haven't owned an Xbox since the 360 because they lost that Japanese support. Mistwalker sold me on the 360.
the OG xbox and 360 were great generations...but after that was I don't know. After this generation I think I'll just play xbox games on pc for now on.

At this point Phil Spencer doesn’t matter MS is trying to move Xbox to profitability, which ain’t Game Pass.
The problem is that the first person era has been over, all of Bethesda’s games are FP, MS is not properly supporting VR because VR provides the next level of gameplay for FP games, which is why Bethesda was pushing towards VR and sued Oculus/Facebook after they stole Bethesda VR r&D research..
