B3 vs. NEW C3 PDSSAP 20-Li Parkside Performance Impact driver battle Grizzly tools vs Kompernass

  • Do you have one of these tools? What are your impressions? Would you buy the B3 for 60 EUR or the C3 for 40 EUR?
Why is the C3 PDSSAP Parkside Performance 20-Li impact driver less expensive than the B3 version.
One is made by Kompernass, the other one by Grizzly tools. Are they identical?
Is mode 4 on the C3 equal to 226Nm on the B3?
*All testing done on Mode 4 on C3 and Mode "226Nm" on the B3. Testing was performed on 8Ah batteries. In the start of the video you will see me using a 4Ah battery to show you the tools, however that is just for ease of use.
**Broken impact adaptor Makita 1/4" hex in to 1/2" at the start of the day while doing a 5sec test to see if I could overload them. They were both fine! Unfortunately the broken adaptor seems to have stressed the camera so much that it did not record what took place. Only the aftermath... Always next time!

I chose to buy 3-4 tools for 150EUR instead of the big high torque impact. For A1 version the mentioned anvil works. But the bushing does not, opening in the case is 19mm. I attached the videos bushing to a 16mm drillbit and used a powerdrill to run the bushing against a sandpaper, down from outerdia 22mm to 19mm. Hard to have it not spin on the drillbit. Seems to work. Also had to make a new washer that is between the case and the anvil. Took a standard 16mm washer and grinded it down a bit (to thick)

In general I like parkside stuff but to often I had problems with damages or non stable power/quality.
When you buy a machine you never know before what quality you really get. One machine is not like the next one, there exist big differences in between the machines in power an lifetime. When you have for example 3 times the C3 version they do not work all same good from the power and the lifetime is also different.
I was a couple of times in the situation that a parkside tool did not work anymore and I was not able to finish the job (i do not buy every tool 2 times).
After this happend to me a couple of times with different machines I had enough and I left parkside. I changed to Bosch Professional and no more problems. Yes, it is more expensive but you get a reliable machines. Bye it, use it and no trouble with nothing. Good and stable quality is not a misstake.

What type of wood are you trying to put them in to? If it is beech then 100mm is all they can do. If it is something less dense then there might be a problem with the tool or you are using a weak battery. The recommended battery is 4Ah. So if you are using it with a 2Ah battery you won't be able to utilise all of the power of the tool.

      @BrokeLifeEU  Před 5 měsíci

Well the regular one is a 1/4" hex drive and so for sockets you would need an adapter. Two problems with that:
      1. The tool becomes longer and so can't go in tight spaces
      2. The adaptors break a lot
      - It does have enough power in most cases to undo a bolt or nut. Even with an adaptor it can do 200Nm, however you will break so many adaptors that it won't be worth it. If you want it for cars I would say convert it to a 1/2" drive. There will be no power gains. On the other hand there will be no adapter to take up space and break. Or look in to the 12V PPDSSA that is the Parkside 12V impact wrench. It comes as a 1/2" drive directly from Lidl.

To be fair the difference is so small that if you take two b3 and compare them you will still get one slightly better than the other, just due to tiny imperfections that combined give different results

I was using a heavier impact socket in that video. Also the battery there was full charged. The batteries this time were used from the start of the filming until the end without being recharged. So the 200Nm was the last thing they attempted to undo in this video. In both cases by that point the batteries had just dropped from 3 to 2 bars. Both batteries are on the same cycle count as well.

It was extremely cold outside when I was making the videos. It looked sunny but somewhere around the 0 to 1 degrees so I still can't judge on that front. I'll get my laser thermometer next time and I will check with the B3 and C3 and will let you know for sure!
