    What a Beauty! My brother in law Rick (who is 10 years older then I am) gave me a lesson on the 56 tbirds over the 55 and why people desire the 56 and because of the fender vents to stay cool because they ran hot and the port holes on the tops for the extra visibility and the extra room in the trunk. :)) Lovely Lou just Premium!

    It is amazing how many people put those hash marks upside down as they are here. I would roughly estimate that 20% of the cars I see online make this error. The Kelsey Hayes wires were NOT available on the little birds, but were for the 1962-1963 Sports Roadsters. The 1955-1956 T-Birds had a wire wheel COVER that fit over the doggy dish hubcaps. The 1955-56 T-birds had 15" steel wheels. Starting in 1957 they went to a 14" wheel. MANY 1955-1957 T-Birds are retro fitted with reproduction 1962-1963 Sport Roadster wire wheels, as it is a very popular "upgrade".

    my dad had his honeymoon with my mom in this car when he bought it new in 1956 and he loved it, but he had to trade it in for the old 57 bel air when mom was pregnant with me in late 61.

    Lou, & ED: great visual, & Short History & 56***TBIRD... I was forgetting the Engine Turning on Dash, etc. : pretty,and : PONTIAC DONE that also in GOLD engine Turned Dash SPECIAL EDITION TRANS AM, ETC. INTERESTINGLY, I had a 56 FORD 4/door /TBIRD ENGINE,ETC ( the nice Florida CAR : I had planned on saving it : freak accident 1967 , “totalled”. ,.Anyways, the Fairlane/ Victoria & their dashboards Extra good, a real NICE design also ; My inclinations were, to restore my 56, but kind of like the BIG FISH THAT GOT AWAY........I,notice a lot of Restored & MODS , THAT ARE EXTRA NICE.. HEARD RUMOUR OF SPecial 56’s and 57’s via DEALER Options,TOO.NOte, That Ford was great for stuffing 3x2 BBL IN TRUNK, Police , & Turnpike Options,etc.

    Lou--first one of these I have watched. would be nice if we got some back-story on the car,
    did he have it restored, do any work himself, how long has he had the car, that sort of thing.
    I always thought these "little birds" were gorgeous autos , and that tire on the rear-perfect.NOT saying anyone needs to talk money, just history of the car.

    • @loucostabile
      @loucostabile  Před 7 lety

      Hi SailorAllan, Welcome aboard. I do get some back story, however the Channel clearly takes a solid look at the car in the present condition, and the story we can get out in the time we have. Hope you see many other cars you'll enjoy, Lou
