- This is one chapter of our lengthy DVD video. This full video is available at cspmovies.com
The video is item D-129.
This is Tehachapi, Cajon Pass, the Los Angeles Area and the Bay Area at its best. The Needles Subdivision and Stockton Junction round out the action in this tribute to the Santa Fe’s various generations of the “Warbonnets”.
To quote Model Railroad News, “I can’t think of a better way to spend an hour and a half...”
To quote Railfan & Railroad magazine, “This prolific producer, specializing in high-quality, well researched and narrated, mostly vintage movie programs of operations mostly in the Golden State has brought back to life the evolution of Santa Fe diesel motive power… Fans of the Santa Fe’s classic diesel era and the various incarnation of its locomotive paint schemes should find this program to be enjoyable, and likely required viewing. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Nice quality videos. Santa Fe seemed like they would always be a part of the American West. Hard to believe this was over 30 years ago, and they're long gone.
Why doesn't BNSF make a few heritage units and show these off. So beautiful. History...
Bnsf is lame dont want to do that. Up has heritage unit of southern pacific rio grande northwestern etc csx has a bunch and ns and cp
Yes! New GE’s (or EMD’s) in GN NP SP&S Burlington Route & SantaFe colors!!!
All they did was slap some decals on a few locomotives instead of doing full Heritage repaints. Totally lame. FNBS. Lol
@joeseymour4073 that wasn't meant to be a heritage unit though that was meant to just celebrate there Anniversary.
Very nice video, i miss the 90s!
what a great time in Santa Fe’s history….like most i was always disappointed when BN bought them out…
28:13 huh never have seen a trailer loaded across 2 flats like that before, neat way to make room when individual trailers were becoming too long to fit multiple on a single car
Excellent video. The Mojave crossing is some desolate stretch of railroad. It's cool you included some C&A action at Cadiz. Unfortunately, the handsome green and white California & Arizona paint scheme has since been replaced by GW orange and yellow.
