Odd Eye is the final part of the "Dystopia" trilogy. Part 1 & 2 are "Scream" and "Boca", so you could check them out. For Dreamcatcher, their MVs are HEAVY in terms of back story. For Dystopia, the most famous and widely accepted theory as far as I know is that they represent Hear No Evil (Scream), Speak No Evil (Boca), and See No Evil (Odd Eye). MVs you could watch that don't have continuing stories are "Deja Vu" and "R.O.S.E. Blue", which both are game collaborations, Japanese songs "Breaking Out", "Endless Night" aka Most Metal Song, and "No More", and lastly, "Paradise", a solo release from one of the members. After that you have the "Nightmare" series that started from their debut. In story chronological order (not order of release): "Fly High", "Chase Me", "Good Night", "You and I", "What" & "Piri". That's it for their title tracks, but do know that their B-sides are mostly of different styles and genre, so they're definitely worth a check too. We’ll probably get a music video for their anime OP Eclipse, though. What I think about Dreamcatcher: they’re my favorite kpop group and their music fits my style best. Regarding the rest of kpop: I generally prefer boy groups because they’re more intense in concept and sound. My favorite concepts in kpop are dark concepts, so I gravitate heavily towards groups like ATEEZ, ONEUS, Verivery, and the like.

Weirdly enough, Dreamcatcher is that weird kid sitting in the corner doing their own stuff that the Kpop industry like you to forget that they exist while fans flock to the popular jocks like BTS, EXO etc. and cheerleaders Blackpink, Twice etc. On a more serious note, Dreamcatcher is not that popular in Korea due to their rock influenced music style and is not considered to be a "top tier" group, although this has started to change slightly towards end 2019 or 2020 with a slight change to their style to incorporate more elements from other genre (e.g. a more emotional soft ballad in Deja Vu, EDM in "Scream", Reggieton in "Boca", a little of hip hop in "Odd Eye") while still having their signature rock DNA in the backbone of their music. Still, with each release, they are getting that slightly more popular and with the end of the Dystopia Series, it would be interesting to see what they will do next, as they are kind of in a crossroad and it would be challenging to continue on their upward climb towards general popularity and greater commercial success.
I dont know if its culturally american, but being a "try hard" is not genuine or authentic. I think the American culture is skewed towards celebrity than content.
American music industry is too stagnant and they dont want to evolve or change. Kpop is always evolving, thats y in kpop so many labels are genre mixing. There evolving to keep it from going stagnant and they want to keep drawing new listeners in. Kpop does it right and its y I stopped listening to American music a long time ago. Too many “Artist” are only in it for the fame and money and not about the music like kpop is.
