THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I felt so stupid and idiotic for not understanding everything she says immediately without a long pause of thought and i felt ashamed for using the Internet's help to identify wether this old word meant what i thought of it and when i didn't understand the scene... There should never be a feeling of shame for wanting to understand something, anything, because it's art and it's supposed to be thought about!
You are so wonderful! ❤️ I just finished Mrs Dalloway (my first Virginia Woolf book) and I wanted to process it, and “make sure i understood it”. Your video was perfect for that: I was reassured it wasn’t a test and that I can simply enjoy having read it. Your style of video-making is hard to find these days, and I think you have done an incredible job! ☺️💕 Also, you are absolutely stunning (love the outfit and the makeup!). On top of that you are soooo well spoken. Thank you for making this! Safe to say you have earned yourself a new subscriber 😊❤️
Articulated and comprehensive. I’m impressed that you did this in only two takes. Finished the book today and came to CZcams to hear other people’s thoughts. Would love to see what your notes are on the book. I resonate with what you said that the book can be read as some sort of poetry.
I just finished To the Lighthouse today, Virginia Woolf is probably my favorite author!! You should probably try Clarice Lispector too, they have similar vibes and writing, in my opinion. I need to reread Mrs Dalloway cause I think I would love it if I read it now (I think I read it 3 years ago), instead of just liking it, tho it did make me want to pick up everything she ever wrote lol
Just finished the book. This was my second Woolf after A Room of One’s Own, and I thought it was much more challenging than that short book/extended essay, but ultimately quite rewarding. Can’t wait to read more of her stuff. Great video!
came from tiktok and glad i did! amazing first video and you've convinced me to pick up this book as soon as possible; Your loud and clear but soft-spoken voice made this review seem all the more professional and kept me wanting to watch more. I loved the personal notes segments you've put into your script as it makes the review feel more like a passionate blog post, rather than a mundane high-school presentation. I'd love to see more reviews like this no matter the genre, topic, length, or time it takes to make a similar video to this since you seem so passionate to share to whoever is willing to listen; your personal thoughts and opinions and i love that! please keep it up!
My thoughts while watching this: -didn't expect half of this video to be a Hemingway roast-compilation (but I'm all here for it) -that tiny mic never ceases to catch me off guard -despite being spoilerless, vague and short, this video is surprisingly insightful -as an avid James Joyce reader, I can really relate to the "I love soup"-comment lol
Thank you for your post, I returned to Virginia Woolf a couple of years ago after not reading her since high school, it was the right time, and an overwhelming experience In the best of ways, I started with Orlando, To the lighthouse, Mrs. Dalloway came next, And still going down this wonderful stream of consciousness, rabbit hole, love the review,✌️
hi !! ^^i just started reading the book in prep for an essay one of my professors wants us to do about it and im so thankful i found your video and found your insight and review to be incredibly nuanced and helpful!
Thank you! My professor had us start and finish this book in the same week so I couldn’t take my time reading which led me to be completely lost by the end of the novel. Watching this before the quiz today has definitely helped
Wonderful video, and I hope you make more in the future. I really appreciate your perspective on this book as I feel I've had a similar experience trying to get into her writing. I definitely have to give it another shot with your recommendations in mind.
I listened to this novel as an audiobook and am now doing the same with analysis since I definitely lost what was happening a lot of the time. I had very little knowledge of Virginia Woolf too so it’s somewhat reassuring to find out this was probably intentional :,) thank you for the video and I’d love to hear your opinions on more classics as I’m slowly getting back into reading again (or audiobooks sometimes lol)
Was looking foward to this! Please keep making these, I'm really interested in what you think about American Psycho (book vs movie, what we were supposed to take away, etc)
This video made me a very interested to read the book, recently i was see Mrs Dalloway in Amazon, and after the video I think that I go buy to read. Very good video btw (Sorry for any english gramatical error)
What human being in True Love plastic finds? All bellies are the canvas for a soulmate’s breath. And soulmate arms we’re meant to fit inside are not comprised of anything but flesh. The ocean prays for goosebumps on thy leg, and paces, praying that you weren’t transformed. What were the waves approved to fondly take? but take the ancient patterns of thy pores. A princess had similar pimples once, but only had her nails to touch a flaw; the nails that let no lily sink but bob, and keep a buoyant beauty just like ours. Where was thy soulmate’s head designed to rest? sweet answer, cradled in no plastic chest.

Hey, will you be uploading any more analysis on different books I loved this video.
What human being in True Love plastic finds?
All bellies are the canvas for a soulmate’s breath.
And soulmate arms we’re meant to fit inside
are not comprised of anything but flesh.
The ocean prays for goosebumps on thy leg,
and paces, praying that you weren’t transformed.
What were the waves approved to fondly take?
but take the ancient patterns of thy pores.
A princess had similar pimples once,
but only had her nails to touch a flaw;
the nails that let no lily sink but bob,
and keep a buoyant beauty just like ours.
Where was thy soulmate’s head designed to rest?
sweet answer, cradled in no plastic chest.
Just finished reading it tonight, start an r&d tomorrow
Very moving
You have a lovely voice btw
How does annotating the book affect your experience reading? How much you enjoy it/how long it takes/etc?
