I hate when people trash new music just because they like a different genre or a different time, there's lots of talented people, clearly you're not a music fan if that's how you view things, there's lots of legends from back in the day but there's also lots of New Legends too, I love music, even if you don't like an artist you can still appreciate that they're doing something that you likely never could.

He talks about that tuning in another video. It’s double dropped D. D A D G B D. But he has a capo on the second fret but it only covers the bottom 5 strings so he can play a G chord easily.

I’d never heard a stripped down acoustic version of this. That aspect reminds me a bit of the similarly minimalistic version of Whitehouse Road by Tyler Childers.

Thanks for posting this. Love the acoustic version. Saw Steve twice, during the Revolution Starts Now tour. Met him in Charleston after the show. Me and another guy were talking to him, he was a nice guy.

Wow...time has not been kind to Steve Earle. Look how he looked in the original video (which sounds MUCH better, IMO), vs how he looks and sounds now. 😳
His voice now is raspy (not in a good way) and it sounds like he's mumbling most of the lyrics. He doesn't look or sound anything like he did. #retire
