I put the $199 Algolaser 5W DIY laser to work - engraving and cutting materials way beyond expectations for the ultra-budget price tag. But I hit an efficiency wall after days of heavy use. Watch how it failed at cutting and why I almost sent this laser straight back...until I discovered the simple maintenance step that revived its power completely!
See the before and after cutting demonstrations, plus what to know about debris and lens care when buying a beginner laser without air assistance. While the engraving quality still wows out of the box, learn how I got this affordable laser working like new again. Between managing realistic expectations around cutting capacity and keeping the lens debris-free, I now get awesome utility from the Algolaser that new hobbyists need to understand!

So consensus is to keep lens cleaned then? Ok cool thanks for the vid, just ordered mine 👍
Awesome. Enjoy
Amazing and super informative video, I’m considering to buy. Where can I get that cutting/engraving sheet you showed? To see the power that I should use for different materials
It's a built in option from lightburn. You can find it in the settings
Nice 👍
Cheers
Great video tutorial. Where did you get your cable organizer?
Just off of amazon. amzn.to/48JoiEO

Thanks for the tips sir
thank you for the video. i just going to start in this business, do you think i can star with this machine just for engraving lettlers in metal and wood?
For metal, you will need a fibre laser. This does mark stainless steel, but it's not the kind of marking I would be happy to sell as a finished product. For wood, yes, but to start a business, you should really invest in a laser that has more power and is quicker. This is more a DIY Laser. Hope this helps
