    I just started with Kyudo, thank you for these introductions. This is very helpful. I find surprisingly many similarities between Aikido and Kyudo and in turn, Kyudo helps me having a very clear mind. Thank you!

      Thank you very much.
      I have never done aikido, but since it is the same martial art, we seem to have some things in common.
      I am very happy to be of service.
      And thank you for starting Kyudo.

    I'm still confused, should I let me lower palm press on to the riser as well, or do I push it with the upper palm between my thumb and index? I notice that if I let my palm lies flat on the riser, the bow won't turn over at release

    • @Kyudo-love
      @Kyudo-love  Před rokem

      It's hard to turn the bow.
      The bow is supported by the base of the thumb, the base of the index finger and the base of the little finger.
      The palm of the hand should be rounded like holding an egg.
      It is just very difficult. Please practice.
      I've attached a video.
