My little ones at this age loved the baby gym
The oball is an absolute hit with our baby. It was the first toy that she could hold, because it is so easy to grab. Eventually she started playing with it with both hands and feet and it is adorable.

@@DadsAnime it depends on the child but its been mostly fun. Lucky our girl did not get sick often and she continues to develop and growing really fast which makes me sad because im having the momemts of a lifetime. But yeah care and love all what she needs

As a mom of six only toy baby really uses is o ball, a bag of link chains(attach them to anything. and a crib mobile. Most important toy of all is an interactive mom =eye contact

My child loved the tactile book and the baby ball when he was an infant! We got rid of most of his baby toys but we kept those two along with a few others! ❤️

I've found so many good toys and books at consignment stores for such good deals! I just look for things that can easily be wiped down or sanitized. Board books are easy to clean and so are the balls she showed in the video. You might be able to find 5-10 books for the price of one new one

My baby is 10 weeks old and she loooves the high contrast mobile from lovevery. I put it above the changing pad and she can't stop staring at it while I change her.

Baby is 8 weeks today. The last couple days when I go to change his diaper, I take off his socks and put one sock in each of his little hands. He's working on his hold, nuzzles them to his face, and waves them around while being mama's "helper" ;).

I recommend a Kind of plush toy. It's like a square fabric with a round bubble in the middle. Mine has ears and looks like a bunny. It's amazing because my baby wasn't able to grasp. This she grasps and let's go. Sucks or sniffs it. And she xarries and holds it in her arm. One end of the four is usually under her arm. So she was able to "carry" out and of you pick her up she was able to hold onto it. Now she is 3 months old and keeps grasping it off you pick her up. It was the only toy she had and could manage. She didn't need a baby gym. Just looking around at Christmas decoration was enough. Now at 3 months she has her baby gym and oball. But it was inpatient for me not to overstimulate her

Yesterday my baby started playing with toys at being 5 weeks old. Baby learned how to spin a wheel. Looked to be very interested in it, kept it spinning for a 5 minutes.

I am wondering. My baby was born at 28 weeks premature.
He is currently 37 weeks( 10 weeks old)and his due date is 8/8 about 2 weeks away.
Are his mile stones expected from birth or from his due date?

When you are looking at milestones your little one should be achieving it is based on his corrected age not birth age. So it would be his due date. Hope that helps!

My three month old seems to have a love hate relationship with his o ball. He really wants it in his mouth now and has no problem getting it to his mouth but there is no part for him to get a good portion in his mouth. He ends up licking/mouthing and yelling at it. Is this frustrating for him or good for his development? I haven't been taking it away but honestly sometimes I think I should so he calms down.
If youre trying to save more money, i have a gym purchased off amazon that includes 3/4 of these items. Whoo!

My brother has a 5 month old and she sleeps a lot but when she is awake she cries a lot. my dad (grandpa wanders around the house with her sat forward and that seems to work well). But she is a lot of work! Very cute though. We all love her.
She sounds lovely. If you are concerned about how much she is crying she hen she is awake, you could take her to the doctor for a check up.

Hey yep that is still really young. They do tend to sleep a lot at that age and cry a lot. It will get better as she gets older. Enjoy the fun!!!

I got my son's "o ball" with a "my first book" [tactile, farm animal theme] from a Goodwill of all places! [: He just turned three months old Wednesday and I introduced him to it about two months ago, and he's just now paying attention to it when I bring it and the book out ^_^

My three month old is getting very frustrated when she’s under her gym when there’s a toy she really wants to put in her mouth, but can’t quite do it, or if she gets a hold of it, she can’t always move it by her face or in her mouth like she wants. It’s getting hard to put her under a few of her gyms without me right by her due to this (I got a few gyms from garage sales for different rooms). I hope she will have better control to do what she wants soon so she’s less frustrated.
She will have a lot more control in a month or 2 and at this point she will be purposefully be able to reach out and play with an attached toy. You could also take the toys off and give them to her to hold while lying under the play gym.
@@EmmaHubbard Thanks, I figured it wouldn’t be too long until she figures it out. I do hand little fabric toys with little hand holds on it and the O ball (which she is definitely better at holding), but she still usually drops it within a minute.
How much frustration do you think is healthy for a baby to experience before helping them? Do you have a video about something along those lines? Like she will kind of whine, but usually she doesn’t all out cry, but I try to help her get the toy closer without outright giving it to her so she can learn. But sometimes I’m cooking dinner or something and can’t help her constantly, so I’d just end up putting her in the bouncer or doing something else I know she won’t get frustrated with. Thanks!

Just want to know- my baby is 7 weeks and has severe silent reflux, i have a jungle gym for her, but i can't seem to put her on her back at all as it is really uncomfortable for her. Even with a incliner pillow- is there anything else i can do so she doesn't fall behind on her development?
Hello. Maybe it would be helpful for your baby if you try to keep the flexion in her/his body by keeping the pelvis up with a small pillow or if you keep this flexed position on your legs. It will help your baby to adjust to the gravity and be active. You can give her/him the toy in this position. I think it would a big difference on how he/she focus on the toy if her/his body has the normal flexed position. I hope that you find it helpful.❤️

Thank you for replying, i am pleased to say that she is 3 months now and i can put her on her back and tummy for short amounts of time- i do try to do it between every nap( if she is not in a to bad mood😂) she does like to sit on my lap and throw herself forward and backwards.

Hi @NonnieGold in Australia the baby gyms at department stores are great - when looking at the baby gyms see if there is one with a mirror, a toy which makes noise and high contrast colours (black, red, white or bright colours).

Wow. I admit I'm jealous of you all, Emma & commenters.
My baby is 2 months and he screams whenever he sees/lies under the baby gym. We also have other baby toys and he seems to hate everything. He is clearly bored and it gets worse each day. Cuddling, singing, walking outside, eye contact, tummy time... nothing satifies him anymore, it's very exhausting.
Basically babies are dumb potatoes but we love them anyways
