The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV (Chinese: 五菱宏光MiniEV) is a battery electric microcar[citation needed] manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling since 2020. Retail deliveries began in China in July 2020. As of January 2022, sales since inception have passed 500,000 units, and the Mini EV has become the best-selling electric car in China
The Mini EV can seat four people, and standard features including air conditioning, power windows, stereo system, storage and compartments. Standard safety features of the Mini EV include anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring sensors, and rear parking sensors. Early models did not include a driver airbag, but later models such as the Mini EV Macaron include the feature as standard.
Power is produced by an electric motor making a peak 20 kW (27 hp; 27 PS) and 85 N⋅m (63 lb⋅ft) of torque with rear-wheel drive, propelling the car to a stated top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph). The Mini EV is equipped with a 9.2 kWh battery capable of a NEDC range of 120 km (75 mi) or a 13.8kWh battery capable of a NEDC range of 170 km (110 mi). Based on the NEDC driving cycle, the estimated energy consumption of the Mini EV is 8,1 kWh/100 km.
A 26.5 kWh model is due for 2022, with 280 kilometres (170 mi) (CLTC) estimated range, an optional more powerful 30 kW (40 hp; 41 PS) motor, and an improved interior.
In 2020, the Mini EV had a price starting at US$4,162, and topped out at US$5,607 for a fully-loaded model, making it China's cheapest electric car.[11] The car has attracted a cult following in China, with owners frequently modifying their vehicles.[12][13] The popularity has been compared to that of kei cars in Japan.[14] The vehicle has been such a success that it has inspired a number of copycats and competitors, including the Chery QQ Ice Cream, Dongfeng Fengguang MINI EV,[15] and BAW S3

I would buy this car any day as it is a good run around for shopping and school runs and might be cheap to run and been 69 this car would be perfect for me as i dont do much driving.

Love this small electric car , wish was available here in UK, and it's a great price. Wish we could get back to driving about in small cars, not these huge crossovers everyone has these days. I can't see any reason why this could not be sold in the UK, look at the Citroen Ami that's available now
This car would be great for school runs and shopping runs and just for local runs I want one.
Small cheap cars are only profitable in large volumes, which are unlikely to sell in Europe. The Ami can't go faster then city limits, which makes it a niche category, not a general one.

Говнище китайское, только обёртка нормальная,купил себе подобную за 5,500€ с пробегом 300 км, хватило на полтора года, за это время накрылся блок управления за , радио, динамики,переднюю резину сожрало напрочь, перестала открываться дверь изнутри, дворник отломился от ветра, и наконец из-за выхода из строя встроенной зарядки - накрылись аккумуляторы. Стояло 10 штук свинцовых, каждый стоит новый 155€. Ну и по мелочам кучка наберётся.

I would personally go at least 1 inch bigger on the wheels and at least 50 kilowatts for the battery pack. How much could that Jack the price up? But I'm all for the art of bare minimum production cost. It's astounding. Now if you could just even get these exported to Southeast Asia much less the u.s. I don't know about Europe I've never been there.

I am Australian born in Spain but I have lived in Australia since the seventies, I would like to know if you are taking steps to import it to Australia, which for people who move in the city must be wonderful due to the little space it occupies and does not pollute.
