The book on Creed, the Ghost Performer, actually gives you quite a nice background on Creed and who created their perfumes.
Still, Olivier Creed is a good let's say investor, he knew what scents to invest in and ehi h people to find.

I wore the new Creed in public yesterday for the first time, and the response was amazing!
Definitely the most popular fragrance Iโve ever worn in my 35+ years of wearing cologne.
I canโt believe this is a very limited edition.
I dont think its ALL that brother, it smells nice, doesnt last long AT ALL and is VERY sweet smelling, id give it a 6 out of 10, regular Aventus in my opionion blows this away...
I am thinking of getting it for my husband for Christmas so doing some research.
take it from me, i have everything made by creed, you can put this on and a hour later you will not smell a thing, fine if your paying $395 a bottle, i guess, but for $540 a bottle and you can hardly smell it... hard pass, although i already bought a bottle, buyers remorse!

I remember the first time I smelled Aventus back in 2011 Jesus that thing was the truth. Nowadays itโs just a money grab even though back
Then it was still expensive it was truly a gem
Loved the video. I blindbought Aventus as either my 7th or 8th niche fragrance. It wasn't 100% blind - I had previously sampled CDNIM and Cedrat Boise IIRC. Got one that could very well be one of the worst batches of all-time (21Z01). I've used it as an air freshener in my room before. I might end up buying this just to give it to my dad, he has used up half of my Aventus bottle since my more mainstream scents I no longer want to have on my shelves (i.e. Aventus, Sedley, Mefisto GL, Percival etc).

I think it would be great if you made another video talking about its dry down and longevity. I saw people on youtube saying that its extremely similar to Sauvage Elixir in the dry down. Would be interesting to see your thoughts on that statement

Aventus is terrible now. only had 2 bottles in the last 5 year and both performed poorly , and smelt nothing like the old batches i used to wear.
Give it a year or so in proper temperature room and you'll see the difference it takes on a spicier note

My opinion on something that I haven't experienced is just re-release the Aventus 2010 batch and name it Classic.
I may not have been a huge fan of it, but I do respect it.
It was a phenomenon for a reason.
Although I'm still interested in smelling this one, I don't have expectations on anything Aventus like, being better.
Old versions fantastic performance - 3+ hours big projection and 12 hours longevity
I believe they improved it based on some research I did.
They probably cant re-release it due to the industry regulations that caused them to reformulate it in the first place.

However, I don't think IFRA regulation couldn't have caused the quality to change that much. Roja adjusted their products through many regulations. Whatever the case is, it's just not the same.

Creed is probably my favorite niche house. Hard to pinpoint which fragrance is my favorite but probably between Spice and Wood and GIT! Canโt wait to try the new Absolu Aventus. I also want to try Carmina.

Creed has really messed up. They keep trying to make sun offs of Aventus and it has really depreciated the smell/line over all by doing this. Like โ Beautiful โ by Este Lauder has never changed. Itโs the same. Creed should have done the same. Now Aventus is no longer the โ power cologne.โ

I tried it a and the dry down smells like aventus for her and cologne with something from another creed , it's pleasant but creed really need to get the original perfumer and give him high quality ingredients and let him make 2010 aventus again

I've had more than person say it smells like cigars, mainly the opening.
what is the GOAT if it's not Aventus?. I say It is Dior Homme. A DNA for eternity, the most innovative scent, unique and distinctive, a classic right away after release. an incredible creation.
Absolu is the Sauvage Elixir DNA refined and smoother with an Aventus style uber fruity opening along with the waxy crayon metallic freshly sharpened pencil woodiness of Blue De Chanel. I was able to score a bottle early from Venba Frags and it is my SOTD. Other than the opening it is NOTHING like Aventus...
I do get a combo of Sauvage Elixir laced with Aventus - definitely more refined...
So if I layer Aventus and Sauvage Elixir I wonโt need to buy Absolu Aventus?
@astagg5840 it's not the same and just the best way to describe it. I love Elixir but it is sticky and sludgey. Absolu is smooth and has facets neither of them have including a cool vanillic sulfuric twinge that reminds me of creme brulee and fresh matches.
Nothing like all the Armenian uncles in 2010 driving their S65โs or G55โs wearing Creed Aventus.

By the way I have never really smelled a realistic pineapple in this, or any, fragrance although supposedly Aventus is "king" of it. Do like "the pineapple" but no one is going to come up to someone wearing Aventus and say you smell like pineapple or what smelling like pineapple in the air.
Armaf will knock this out and perfectly get the price right for the all universe ๐
