- Wichita Falls is a city in northern Texas. In the center, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum honors notable wrestlers and displays memorabilia. Nearby, the narrow, 4-story Newby-McMahon Building is nicknamed the “world's littlest skyscraper.” Set along a bend of the Wichita River, Lucy Park has playgrounds, a pool and a man-made waterfall. The River Bend Nature Center has nature trails and exhibits.
My grandma lived on Eastside from back in the 80s to the early 2000s, back when that side of town was REALLY bad. It's cleaned up a lot since then. People left her alone and everyone she lived beside, though rough around the edges, were kind.
If you would've kept going through the back of the "apartments", you'd see the Housing Authority office building.
There's a few restaurants downtown. Our most famous one is Casa Manana. That part of town is just now coming back to life with businesses.

I used to live behind the Ben Donell back in the 90s-2000's. At 10:57 Don't forget about da pink house! 💯😎 JP's...Bubba Lu's...Amigos.. Gibson's..Lovett's by the bridge..Blue Bonnet - man I remember my grandma used to go up there and get that old school government cheese.. Davenports.. Johnny's Chicken Box.. Brownies that used to be at Eastside Dr and Lincoln St way back in the gap. Reza that used to run the Krystal Mart lol. Damn those were da mf'n days.
My Grandma lived at 410-A Calhoun for over 30 years. She was well known for selling her crafts and fudge. I spent many an hour there. They were always called The Projects. I never knew a name either. Just saw her other place on Carolina.
Lol! At 16:04 you've got a picture of my old van parked on the left side of Bailey St. Infront of my daughter's house! 😂 Crazy! My daughter had to move because her autistic son was getting bullied. That was not a very "civilized" area of town if you were the wrong color... It is unfortunate that we all can't just get along. The animals can do it... But we humans can not. As a Christian, I will always continue to pray for peace and love.😢

Flood st.
Flood Street in the 70’s was the heart of the Hood. The first place I saw Street Preaching. Lot’s of bars. Hookers were at 7th and Ohio. They messed with my Dad by jumping on the hood of the car while he waited on my mom to get off work. We were country white folks with a business downtown. We knew all sides of Wichita Falls, never drawing hood lines, except for Flood Street! But having to make deliveries puts you everywhere. Even the Wino’s at the County Jail knew us. It has changed drastically since those days. Less businesses. They have done a lot downtown. You just couldn’t hear me saying turn in the hood or downtown.

u must have never been. there 2 types of neighborhoods there, rich ones and poor ones and a very small percentage are rich only the oil families who got here first and doctors and cops nd shii and the people who own everything and all live in tangle wood and trophy club which is about %5 of the city
